im in australia, this is not new to me lol

Everytime we talk about price on steam I'm enjoying seeing how a European pay more than anyone else. Our currency is worth more than the dollar, and we still get a higher price tag every single time. What's the point of regional pricing in this case.

Thank you for the explanation. I’d say that the numbers break down effectively the same way.

That’s not what I said. I said someone will contract the virus 1 in 10 exposures.

That’s not how vaccines work. The AZ and Pfizer vaccines, at two doses, offer around 90% protection. That means fully vaccinated people will still contract Covid-19 if suitably exposed in one in 10 cases.”

>> its almost like the death rate is less than 0.01% for anyone under 50...

It is almost as if 93-94% protection is not the same as 100% protection. Or as if the vaccines are less effective against the Delta variant of the virus...

And all the men and women are merely player characters

“Alas, poor Yorick6969420, I knew him, xHoratiox23897. A fellow of infinite cash, of excellent weaponry. In heists he hath born me on his back a thousands time and oh, how abhorrent a pilot was he. The memories haunt me.

To this day, whenever I see a flickering light, my first thought is “Oh, better look for a secret here somewhere”. Thank you Quake (And Quake 2) for “training” me that way.

Now someone needs to go through Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends, and see if the same flicker is used there. Because yep, those are also Source-derived. Pretty heavily modified, but still Source.

When video game development done right, what we’d get is fun little trivia like this.

As the player opens the door to venture out into this new world, they hear the familiar words, “STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM”

I would be so happy if Bethesda put that in all their games from now on. Like some secret non-standard ending you could get to if you figured out how. It would be hilarious.

Hmmm... kara” means “because” and translates to “from”, so maybe that’s it.

Not sure. But they existed as an application software company about 8 years before makin’ their first game, so I don’t think it was chosen with the entertainment industry in mind.

Wow, and it's hideous!

It was Target branded, but there was a red GBA.

Coincidentally, I ordered a cheap GBA this week for a hit of nostalgia and it’s been really surprising to revisit one of my favorite consoles after over a decade (I went with the OG horizontal one, I like that layout better). I remember it being a little dim, but my god, the screen is awful - even sitting under a lamp
