While I like the Reatta, Buick never made a V8 one, and the convertible version they did make didn’t have an available hard top like this does. And as there was never a 2-seat convertible Olds counterpart, I gotta go with the Caddy.

Here’s what I recently figured out with Malaise-era Cadillacs. You’re usually better off with the Buick or Olds counterpart. If this was a Reatta I’d jump on it. It’s still NP though. If I had a garage this would be something fun to mess with for awhile and spruce up then sell it to the next guy.

NP, kid probably wanted a BroDozer. It’s a bit rough but nothing some detailing and elbow grease can’t fix. Should have plenty of miles/smiles left. So it’s an automatic; California traffic will make you a believer. Want a track car? Buy one.

Let’s say you are correct and the truck on its own is worth $15k (I disagree, BTW and I love 7.3s). The seller is still trying to get $35k for it. Then they want another $35k for a camper that retails for around $28k. Even with your math, this thing is worth $43k max.

A quick google shows that’s a $28k camper (maybe it has some upgrades, but it’s also not brand new, so let’s just say it’s worth that) on a, what, $10k truck? If I’m being generous?

I say NP; if you want one factory perfect, go find it; I’m sure several owners kept them as they started life. But if you want to actually drive and enjoy one, this is kicked up a notch, and the mileage says you don’t have to baby it or worry about that. I find it bonkers that the Cayenne has become the new Porsche 924, and while this one does suffer from that kind of catfish early aughts style, the interior is nice and you don’t have to look at it while you’re driving. Could be tigers lurking in there but for 40 benjies I’d chance it.

I irrationally love this artifact from before things went all grayscale. I love the steering wheel, all shiny green and fake wood. The whole interior really evokes something much older, which makes sense for the Mercury demographic.

I think it’s hideous, but it is genuinely a rare car and the Andretti signature on the dash means a lot to people. Probably a nice price for a collector.

It’s almost 30 years old, so it’s now technically a classic. If you went back to 1995 and found a 1965 Mustang Convertible with only 11k miles on it, it probably would have sold for about the same amount, and in 1995 dollars!

Short money for a low-mile Vette ragtop. What’s not to love? As long as it’s not hiding any serious issues it’d be a fun cruiser.
