I’d rather have the opposite: A V8 in a normal looking CTS. I love a good sleeper.

I’d rather have this than a new one. If this one is California rust-free I am 100% OK with the price. It’s not a steal, but still NP.
This is also a classic car now - it’s 30 years old, and the ZJ was absolutely one of the era defining cars, so of course a nice one is going to have some collectability to someone (not saying their name rhymes with Navid Stacey because this isn’t a Holy Grail 5-speed).
You can park it right next the Nissan 330ZX!
I briefly had a Taurus, same year, also silver and rental car spec. This is probably the better car, and probably better MPG too.
NP. Total appliance car. Reliable. Unobtrusive, blends into the background, forgettable, disposable. If it weren’t for those shouty “Sport” stickers it would be perfect for a bank heist. Not that I would know about such things. Nope, never even thought about it before...
Probably more like a committee drew it up and every member disowned the result.
Great first car for a kid. Even the goofy decals would look perfectly at home in any high school parking lot.
NP all the way. My late Dad had a 1978 Fairmont with that weird Stalk for the horn. It kept falling off but that was because of his crazy daughter who liked to use the horn a lot ;)
What 50 year old car are you going to find in perfect condition for $21K? And if you do find one, will it be as gorgeous a model as this one?
Wow! That car looks great! The only thing that could make it better would the the Car and Driver preferred de Sade package.
I cant be the only one that saw “Ford Fairlane” and thought this:
I voted NP for the person who wants a British sporty car.
I have to admit I kind of like the looks of the thing, but being an old I can't wrap my head around spending more than the price of my first house on a rapidly depreciating asset with considerable maintenance and repair cost in the near future (after end of warranty of course) no dice for me.
I’m with you. I generally hate every SWFL truck owner with their modified rigs, but then a few weeks ago I saw this and my heart skipped a beat. I think this is the perfect modern Ford truck:
Really? That’s the Democratic Party way, insulting anybody that doesn’t agree with you. Get over it. Look at the map and see where the blue votes lie. I’d rather be deplorable. I live in a state that voted Trump for president and for a Democratic governor and lt. governor. Maybe you should look at the candidates…
God how I’d love a standard cab, manual, bench seat, 4x4 pickup with an operable full rear glass. I don’t care about the stickers but this checks so many boxes for me just in fun/utility. I haven’t bought a used vehicle in a long time so no idea about the price, but if Ford offered this configuration today (with the…
Lowering an already modified luxobarge like this is an automatic ND. God knows how it’s been driven.
NP for a neat hobby car. Are you going to take the family on cross country road trips with it? No. But are you going to enjoy the occasional Saturday morning in the garage doing some relatively simple -- and satisfying wrenching? Sure. And you’re going to meet some down to earth people when out and about, too. This…
I got tetanus from the pictures.
