Such simpler times when the information center on the dashboard was just a digital clock.

For starters, the painted outside driver door handle looks broken. Not having a functioning drivers door handle is a decent quirk level.

Quirks as in, reverse doesn’t work? Or quirks as in, you can summon a friendly spirit with the turn signal stalk? An important distinction. But tentative NP.

Video of the car doing donuts... Completely bald rear tires... Car upside-down... It all checks out

Put that sexy thing on some Dayton wires with some white walls and then bitch better have my money!

I like this car. I think it is weird and niche and has a kind of retro cool, and I would be prepared to pay more than it is really worth for it. However that would be me paying about seven thousand dollars for it, not seventeen thousand. ND for being ten grand too much, even for me.

195CID = 3.2L. That is one huge 4-cylinder engine, and without balance shafts this thing must have been really rough...

Ironic that the seller is a “moron”, while the man he’s mocking barely knows where he is 90% of the time.

Not getting why a simple ad needs to be an exhaustive listing of every inch of the car.

You can’t just say it needs things fixed and then not list them if you want $60,000. It probably is a NP but I need more info on what exactly is wrong with this gorgeous and notoriously maintenance intensive classic British car. ND for the lack of transparency.

Given how the XKE’s price is no bargain:

Missed the donation to the scholarship part?

If a person is looking for a classic Mini and can’t afford the British version, then the Italian job will do-and for those who would say ND, keep in mind that I recently (stupidly) sold a BMC LHD Mini for more than this. You would want to check to see how bad the “some rust” is,  but if it were to pass the rust check

These start new at ~$80K, so I’ll take my $78K and find a nice, used Ariel Atom if I want to kill myself in an insane vehicle.  At least the Atom has full air conditioning...

ND to me.  For that amount of money, I’d rather have a Hellcat or a Corvette or a lightly used Tesla Model S.

Right? Or a perfectly mint, incredibly low mileage almost anything else.

Seriously? Anyone voting NP is high already.

The list of cars I would buy before spending $78k on this is very, very long.

Maybe it’s just the photo but there looks to be some sketchiness on the right side rear suspension welds. And those gauges look marine grade and somewhat off centered. I suspect outside of the window seals there are a lot more nits to pick. It’s cool but I dont’t think I could part with $78K for it. I’ve got options

No Dice. This is one of those “Buy the best car you can afford situations:” because the best car is not that much more expensive. I think almost anyone who has only $7k to spend on a car probably won’t want to spend it on an ugly-looking R107. And anyone who wants an R107 in their life can go $12-ish with some
