Yup. This is when you’re turning the handle on the Jack In The Box.
Yup. This is when you’re turning the handle on the Jack In The Box.
I was thinking exactly this. Five years and approaching 60k miles is the traditional time to unload a German car while everything is still working.
It’s a hatch! It’s practical!
Le duh. This is so NP the car had to be sold before the ink on this article dried.
So you bought a cheap ass already clapped K car and that somehow compares to an obviously well cared for example?
$2500 for a clean working convertible at the beginning of convertible season? Easy NP. OK... it’s a K-Car, but I have a feeling that’s slightly cooler now than it would have been only a few years after it was made.
The first time I ever drove a convertible, it was one of these - Sea Isle City NJ, 4th of July weekend 1989, in a car owned by a woman I had only met three hours earlier.
Nice price. I would drive this car ironically... like, a lot!
Tell me you’ve never driven a Turbo K car without telling me...
I’m surprised the seller isn’t asking more for it. Maybe the car has issues in person that don’t come through in the ad, but based on the info we have it’s a steal. Drop the top and shove your “Thriller” cassette tape in the dash and relive the 80’s whenever you want.
Would need to add a couple hundred $$$ for whitewalls in the front to match the back, because a car like this deserves them on all four corners. Otherwise, if my mechanic gave it the green light, I’d buy it. NP
I don’t usually Nice Price complicated out of warranty German luxury cars, and yes I know this a ticking time bomb, grenade, bankruptcy in a bottle, etc. But still seems like a lot of car for the money, and having seen what I see as similar offerings up here for twice the money, a tentative nice price for someone that…
I voted NP, but it’s a ND for me personally. As someone else astutely pointed out, this seems to be a good deal for someone familiar with these.
My initial thought was... ‘oh here we go again... another overpriced Euro luxo barge with some issue or with way too much mileage for the money’... but then I looked and read... and I’d have to say the asking price is a solid Nice Price given the vehicle, age, mileage and condition. .
This will probably go to someone who can’t afford the upkeep, but go it will. NP.
It’s not just you, but I don’t feel that way. When I finish building something with Legos I don’t play with it. I just want to build something else.
I like this truck a lot but that driver’s seat alone tells me this is not a $17k vehicle.
Preach it. If you want a serious off-roader - why the sound deadening/audio mods? No under body armor? (monster exhaust gets in the way). Needed a bigger dick waving monster truck for the bar parking lot? Where’s the huge lift? I actually like the work done but the motivation to sell bothers me.
and they could have been fantastic, but we all know, if it might even hint at selling better than the corvette, it get’s compromised.
I’ll put it right out there: these aren’t as good as a Miata. Everything is just a little worse. The interior is my least favourite part of the car (and I’ve shared the story of cutting my finger open on the cheap plastic in one). It’s very clearly a short road trip car with an open sky from all the compromises made.
