We were on the Dragon a week ago and there must’ve been a Slingshot convention in town because those things were thick on the mountain. 

I hate Saturns, had a friend in the late ‘90s who had one of the original SC coupes. It was only a few years old at the time and already a complete shitbox. The driver’s seatback ratchet was busted, so you had to hold on to the steering wheel when accelerating (what little acceleration it had) to keep from reclining…

Also had a friend in high school with a Chevette and can confirm, it was truly a little shitbox. But he had fun telling people he had a ‘Vette. 

1 Mustang GT or Camaro SS

The cabin might be roomier than a contemporary Miata, but the Solstice/Sky have zero luggage space. None. A Miata’s trunk can easily hold a week’s worth of groceries or a small suitcase. It’s a Crown Vic by comparison.

All this work and he couldn’t put on a windshield wiper? Even if it had a wiper, no way. Nope. 

Writing like “sharing lube like a couple of randy lovers” is why I  come here every day. 

Right? It’s not like a new car with 20 miles of wiring connecting dozens of sensors with multiple computers. It’s got lights and a radio, how much wiring could it take? Probably rewire the whole thing with one extension cord.

Crank windows no problem as you could easily reach across to roll down the passenger window.

There are not enough “KILL IT WITH FIRE!” gifs in the universe to do justice to that horrific body kit. But with the low miles and SE equipment, assuming it’s just there because of epically bad taste and not because of earlier body damage this is probably NP. But damn, seriously. That body kit is awful.

Exactly where I am. Just nothing about this car appeals to me. I’d rather have the SVT Mustang the drivetrain came out of, which would cost less and not hurt my brain every time I looked at it.

Agree on the looks, this body style is the best Cavalier. Had a friend in the late ‘80s who had a Z24 coupe just like this, white over blue interior. It was a blast to drive in its day. Even with the ragtop though, no way any Cavalier is worth five figures. $7K maybe. ND

If I bought this that’s totally how I’d tell people what it is.

Need to see way more photos before considering $59K for this thing. Seriously? No pics of the interior, frunk or engine bay? Not enough room in the driveway? There’s not a park nearby where you can go for the photos? 

If yesterday’s PT Kwoozer was a NP (and it is) then this is certainly worth a couple grand more. Also don’t know why, but I always thought these were RWD.

Wrong. When it comes to hideous looking cars the PT Cruiser is a Lamborghini Miura compared to a Saturn Ion.

I’m not sure when the hate started. When the PT Cruiser came out it was a smash hit. Dealers couldn’t keep them on the lot, and some were getting over MSRP.

You’ve got to sell it.

The straight-six makes it more appealing to me. I’ve heard a Jag V12 is nearly impossible to keep running.
