IKEA has this in the bag. They're even originated in Scandinavia!

Sadly, that's a question I'm sure the rider will be asking themselves for the rest of their life.

Thanks! I've been absolutely in love with it for the few years I've had it so far. Whether I'm riding solo or with friends, it's perfect for me!

Only if it gets crossposted to Jezebel.

I've been noticing that people really love to use "tl;dr" in a way that translates to "I don't want to admit that I'm wrong so I'm just going to be a deliberately-obtuse asshole."

I fully agree. But, I'm not sure if you're reiterating the point I made, or if you misread my comment and are saying that in disagreement with me.

Did I ever say that it wasn't? It's inherently safer, but my point is that there's a lot of miserable car drivers that like to take a "stand" against lane-splitters, even when they are doing so legally.

In the world of Devil's Advocate!

So the driver of the camera-car doesn't understand how to safely merge into traffic, the Toyota driver he cut off is an absolute lunatic, and somebody decided that a nursery rhyme was the best song for the uploaded video. Alright!

All the while, Connecticut allows all manners of rusted out, ill-maintained shitboxes to roam around with bald tires, parts falling off and nothing working properly - just so long as it doesn't have a Check Engine Light or fail the dyno-test if it's pre-OBDII.

Ah, there's our difference. I really wish American drivers respected motorcyclists as they tend to do across the pond. It's usually much different in the US. Even in California where lane-spitting is legal, lots of incidents seem to arise when drivers decide to "take a stand" against the motorcyclists for doing

A misunderstanding, my apologies.

I've been riding motorcycles my entire life and I've become accustomed to the behavior of the general public. Lane-splitting at the safe speeds designated as legal lane-splitting can still be disastrous when you come across that one ignorant, angry person that thinks you're doing something illegal, hence my

I signed out of principle, but honestly I question whether I would even take advantage of the legal ability to lane-split in my state. As a lifelong motorcycle rider, as soon as I started riding motorcycles on the road it became apparent very quickly that the general driving public is split between people who couldn't

That's a shame, that person who stopped should have been held liable for the accident.

I almost hit a flock of wild turkeys walking across the interstate last summer, the last thing I would have ever considered would be to stop my car in the passing lane and try to "help" them.

My sentiments exactly.

Oh yes, this story. It's well beyond the point of argument, but I'm definitely firmly planted on the side against the woman who stopped her car. Could they have avoided her stopped car? Perhaps, but there's no excuse for stopping your car in the middle of a limited-access highway for such a trivial reason. If she had

I HATE those types as well, and I run across them outside of car shows as well. Everything from those short answers to flat-out insulting me. I'm a huge fan of the classic GMC Motorhomes from the '70s, and I've been put off by two different old men that had one because no matter how much I know about their rig, I'm
