But it sounds like most are replicas, very doubtful that they're made from real precious metals.

I feel like that would be possible at a much lower level of racing, but not Formula One. Anybody who would consider the Red Bull team a direct rival would likely be on a celebrity-level of racing fame. Getting caught with these (which they likely will) would be career suicide.
"I have a bunch of genuine Red Bull F1 trophies for sale!"
"That's a coincidence, they just had their trophies stolen not long ago..."
I feel like the crew involved in this "heist" are standing around in a warehouse right now, arguing about what they can actually do with their score. I called it before starting to read the article - they don't have much true value and many are replicas. Either one very particular buyer, or one very short-sighted…
Craigslist ad:
Or slum-apartment rentals for the price of those double-wides.
"Yeah, but imagine how many V6 Mustangs you could buy for the price of that one McLaren."
I'm a Northeast native and have always noticed New York's wonderful fuel prices. Whenever I'm traveling, I time my fuel stops specifically so I don't have to buy any gas in New York.
It's amazing to once again see how narrow-minded and ignorant people can be, to once again see an upward trend in SUV sales due to a temporary drop in gas prices. I figured this would have to stop eventually. It's just incredible that so many people would commit to such a huge purchase (many of which are likely on…
Apparently he has better racing technique than the vast majority of the field, considering how he qualified on pole, got pushed back on a technicality, went from nearly dead-last to third place, and technically first because he was the only podium-finisher in a class-legal car. This is especially true in Spec racing…
I watched the entire video start-to-finish and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent driving throughout! I really admire his genuine enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The holeshot pass right at the end was fantastic.
I agree with this.
I have to say that while there's no excuse for his actions, it's pretty damn impressive to see him genuinely owning up to what he did and not only admitting that it was his fault, but also delivering a sincere apology and committing to doing anything he can to fix his behavior, all the while not asking for sympathy or…
Damn straight!
I am inclined to agree with the '90s BMW statement. In fact, for a little while they even cut the same sausage extra-short!
In all of my time driving, the '90s "Cloud Cars" used to be some of my least favorite cars on the road thanks to the sort of people that drove them. There never seemed to be a happy medium, they're either weaving through traffic, tailgating and passing people just for the sake of getting in front (not to ultimately…
I highly agree. The most erratic, inept and unpredictable drivers are typically behind the wheel of a Prius.
Sorry, I know Energon is a Transformers thing but I don't get it!
I had (and still have) a lifelong obsession with cabover trucks and vans, so it was only natural that my first road-legal car would be an '84 Volkswagen Vanagon. Subaru EJ22 motor swap out of a '91 Legacy (using a Kennedy bellhousing adapter to the stock four-speed manual), lowered 3'' on H&R springs and KYB shocks,…
