My favorite is the sexy gundam.

You did a good job pops!

Faaaaacts! I even have a hard time imagining what poor white people live like. You never see them! How crazy is that. Everybody knows, or thinks they know, what poor black people live like. They know how we speak, how we dress, what we listen to, they think they know everything they need to know about us anyway. But

No I know! I wasn’t saying that to disagree. Just some thoughts I had while reading it. Just adding my 2 cents you know?

it seems a lot of whites & blacks are invested in the negative narrative surrounding the American black experience.

Friendly advice: don’t take work home with you. It will lead to a happier and healthier life.

You should read The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism by Max Weber. He would probably say the 2 go hand in hand, or co-evolved with one another. But there is nothing inherent in “the male ego” (whatever that is) that drives men to act this way. In fact men in pre-capitalist societies and even in many

Used to be one of those people. Left one job with 10 wks of paid vacation time I never used. God, I was really stupid back in those days.

What does “the free market will solve this” mean but that lots of people will, to (mis)quote you, ”protest, and vote with your money”

I know! But people voting with their money is not god, or the laws of physics, and that is my point. There is nothing guaranteed about democracy. This is how people talk about the market, as if it operates according to guaranteed laws. If a company does wrong, then the market will regulate itself. That’s like saying,

The American team member has been removed from duty while we immediately investigate this incident

Good. As you can see from the United example, the free market is forcing the airline to address itself. No need for Big Government to intervene. The investors will.

The trituration/pressing methods are very labor intensive relative to centrifugal juicing. Thus, having a bag, for small consumption purposes, is cheaper than personally hiring someone to make juice for you. Presumably (I honestly haven’t looked) Juicero is marketing that such a process will produce a superior quality

while Pence is then lampooned for being faithful to his wife....

lol, good night.

lol you’re drunk Art Vandeley Silva, go to bed.

Usually when people say this it means something else, but I get the feeling in this case it might actually be true.

That’s exactly what I was trying to say. People tend to embellish their heroes. Even the Buddha, who today many Buddhists actually reject a lot of the early accounts of him that make him more mythic and other wordly, many of his followers really couldn’t (or can’t) help themselves.

Actually most academic scholars think that Jesus probably was a real guy. But yeah if a man named Jesus existed that doesn’t really mean anything for the Christian religion, as the historical Jesus was not the same man depicted in the four Gospels. And the prophet Mohammad and the Buddha were also real people that

Yeah I know it’s true. I’m just saying I noticed this more with middle class Cubans. If you’re a Cuban trapped in the Ghetto of Little Havana and you don’t really see a way out of that community you’re not going to be thinking about acting white and blending in with the upper middle class white friends you don’t have
