I wouldn’t say most. Depends on the kind of Cuban. First, there are lots of black cubans. Second, it depends on social class in my experience. I used to live in Miami. Knew lots of cubans naturally. But I lived in the hood. They didn’t really pretend to be white.

That’s very true, so many different kinds of injustice, and different kinds within those kinds. It would be overwhelming to consider them all at once. Which is why I don’t recommend it.

Now, I’m not saying this philosophy is perfect, but it helps me find my place in things, and I feel I’ve become a bit better in effecting the type of small, daily changes that help to eradicate this privilege divide because of it. But that’s just me. Do whatever works for you.

I think, for the most part, acknowledging it is the biggest step. From there, it depends on the situations one finds oneself in in their personal lives.
