I seem to remember an episode of “Survivor” that featured a Pontiac Aztec. Something like a challenge winner got to camp out in one for a night complete with tent, blow up mattress, campfire, food, etc. I remember being pretty impressed by it by all the features, but not enough to go out and get one.

While it’s not my daily (especially since I work from home), I still drive my 2004 GMC Yukon regularly. My 16-year-old learned to drive in “Cornelius” and it still runs well. It has a cigarette lighter and an aux power outlet, as well as a removable ash tray which actually holds change.

I got my 2022 Toyota Tacoma brand new almost three years ago, and I still get aggravated by the radio control on the steering wheel - volume is left-right and channel/track is up-down. I’m pretty much used to it now, until I spend a little time driving a different car that has volume up-down as it should be (and has

When I turned 15 in 1990 (in LA driving age was still 15), I paid $1000 for a 1985 for Toyota standard cab, long bed pickup from a family friend. My brother paid for part of it since he would need the truck for moving to and during college. It looked a lot like this one, minus the sweet paint job and instead kind of

For the Tacoma, you can get a manual with only three trims (SR, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road) out a whopping 11. Tried building a truck on their site and there is one combo that doesn’t exist: double cab, 6' bed, manual.

I blame the cousin doing the counting. She’s good enough to keep count while Buzz is trying to throw her off but she can’t confirm the identity of the kid she taps on the head? And besides, whoever’s fault it is, they saved the home from being burglarized and flooded.

Apparently, all the money in the world can’t buy decent posture

I really like the storage in the back, especially the big tray. The one bad thing I noticed is that gear shifter - it might be worse than the one I had in a GMC Acadia rental a few weeks ago.

Satellite hopping does not reduce the speed at which you can communicate with a distant planet.

Did the intial collision shockwave blow off his hard hat?

Over the summer on an American flight, someone tried to sneak by a couple groups early. The gate agent made it a big deal and had the person stand off to the side like he was in timeout until it was his group’s turn. It was great.

Assuming I could get one with no issues and is going for about $500, maybe a Fisker Ocean. Because if there are people who can still sell Gremlins and even Yugos in the 2020s, then $500 might not be a waste.

Any Range Rover over three years old. They run great for a while, then once one thing goes bad the rest is soon to follow. If you buy a used one from a dealer or large reseller (i.e. AutoNation) then hopefully it’s been repaired well and you can get a couple more years out of it.

Like engineerthefuture says, bring back the Baja.

I think AM radio should be kept around, but I’m not sure about mandating it in vehicles. Of course, it’s always fun to see what you can catch - I’ve listened to sports on WWL in New Orleans and I’m in Dallas.

I always love these lists because some vehicle will come up that I completely forgot how good it looked before. But I have to say, this would’ve been better if there was a before and after for each of these.

In 2017, I drove a fairly pristine 2004 Yukon SLT from south Florida to Dallas. Gas mileage was bad but it was a roomy, smooth, comfy ride.
