This generation was introduced during the 2020 model year, not 2022. 2023 was the facelift. If you go to Seoul, Korea you will see these everywhere as they are a status symbol for the wealthy. They indeed have serious gangster presence, especially in black.

I thought the thefts occurred primarily with lower-tier cars with keyed ignitions? Cars with key fobs didn’t have that vulnerability.

This is a hard sell for a new car. But Genesis reliability and warranty + Genesis depreciation + luxury sedan depreciation = used car bargains.

It also can drive itself on the highway, and comfortably drive your grandma to church on Sundays.

Well said, sir. Love or hate EVs and/or Tesla, it’s important perspective to step back and appreciate. Even lower end models (ex. Model 3 Performance) bring absurd performance to the masses to a degree never before possible. 

Well it beat the Taycan around the Nürburgring by 11 seconds. It’s about as fast as the new NSX or an R35 GT-R.
