It’s incredible how many people talk about “having to adjust seats/mirrors etc.” when they share a car.
Like you rightly mentioned, Teslas have profiles for the drivers, rendering this point totally moot.
Heck, my fiance’s 1997 Grand Cherokee adjusts the seats, mirrors and radio presets based off the remote used to

Nissan Ariya - “this electric off-roader weighs more than 4,000 pounds”.

Have you ever seen a Nissan Ariya? Do you know what an off-roader is?

They’re almost as bad as the relentless Tesla haters!

Jalopnik’s caption for this article on Facebook was “Things are not looking too great for Tesla’s longevity”.

The anti-Tesla snark on this site has gotten ridiculous.

Totally agree - it’s just a small van and with only 134hp! It’s absolutely hilarious to hear this called one of Ford’s “coolest cars”.
As somebody who lives on this side of the pond, half of the “forbidden fruit” that people lust after are actually just tremendously boring eco-boxes.

When will people acknowledge that it’s not one “Hyperscreen” or “Superscreen” - it’s just a bunch of separate screens under one piece of clear “glass”, or whatever it’s made of.

I totally agree. I don’t mind it in some cars, but I remember when we traveled to Europe as a kid we often ended up with Renault rental cars.
Even the thought of that smell makes me feel sick to this day!

I’m no Tesla “fanboy”, but the anti-Tesla snark every time they’re mentioned is getting really tiring.
Is that really all you had to say about the Petersen?

I love that place! I got separated from my parents there when I was a little kid though - I remember being absolutely terrified walking around those tanks by myself!

I think you’re thinking of the 500x - that’s the one which is closely related to the Renegade.
I’m not sure why I’ve committed any of this to memory - I really wish that the 500L wasn’t occupying space in my head!

You’re right on that front when talking about cars like the Nissan Leaf, where there’s no battery conditioning. This likely did a lot to ruin the early reputation of electric cars.
Most modern electric cars aren’t nearly as comparable with a smart phone as you’d think though, because the batteries are temperature

They’re really not all that similar, although there are some shared parts. The Panda is still much smaller than the Renegade and they’re not even on the same platform.

That truck in the first video is much larger than any of the vehicles we’re talking about here, and a Ram TRX is hardly typical either. Let’s also not forget that the TRX video deliberately exaggerates for entertainment.

I should also highlight that the first video proves that pretty large vehicles can fit around

Yeah, memory seats are the best! It takes me ages to get my position right in a car without them.

I love how it’s usually tied to the keyfob, so it changes position based on who’s fob is used to unlock the car.

Hilarious - my 1974 Ford F100 is the same currently. I was trying to figure out why I had no headlights until I finally tried that switch and they came back on.

I don’t dislike the design though - mine only has problems because it’s right next to a hole in the floorboard.
The part is about $3, it takes about a minute

I personally prefer the styling of old Defenders too, but for people who want a new vehicle there’s no choice.
Here in the UK for example, utility companies used Defenders for years. They aren’t going to buy restomod ones now that they’re out of production. They’ve been slowly replacing their Defenders with mid-size

It’s funny, here in the UK VW have a reputation of being really reliable.
My family loves VW and have had several - they’ve been a mixed bag.

My Dad had a lovely 2003 GTI for several years. It was the only car of my parents’ that I ever remember breaking down in, when the water pump sheared its impeller at around

Using JLR as an example of an unfair reputation is hilarious.

Here in their home country (the UK), a huge number of Land Rover products sold are small capacity diesels.

A lot of the recent small capacity diesels (using their Ingenium engine) with a transverse mounted engine have shown problems with regenerating the

We got the 3.0 diesel here in the UK as badged as a Chrysler too.

This comment is truly underrated!
