I’ve never driven a Bangle-era BMW (and don’t even remember what car I have experienced this on), but the description of the rubberized surfaces that get tacky after a few years is still VERY familiar.  I actually think, in my case, it’s from old, crappy office chairs.

It has driver profiles, so when you grab the handle, it detects that your phone is the one nearby, so it moves the seats, steering column, and side mirrors. If your spouse gets in, it automatically recognizes them and adjusts theirs instead. If you’re both there at the same time and for some reason it detected the

I’m sure it’s fast but it doesn’t seem 6-figure fast.

If it’d had the I6 from the other 43s, they’d have my attention but....a 4-cylinder.....nah.

I didn’t know anyone was buying the SL in any capacity anymore, besides old people and dentists. Surprising to hear there was even a demand for a lower-cost variant with a smaller engine.

I’m sure it will share a platform with the hummer EV and silverado EV and will follow the same treatment as the current tahoe-to-escalade pipeline. I’m not really mad about this, despite how absurd the Hummer is. Truck bros are assuredly going to be the hardest segment to get on board with EVs, and it seems that GM is

you have no idea what a rare earth metal is do you??? youve just seen it in an article and now youre saying it. the bolt isnt even on the damn ultium platform and doesnt use rare earth magnets in its motors. it uses cheaper ferric magnets since its supposed to be a low cost vehicle. ass

Many are livery drivers, so they are concerned about fuel costs.

If it doesn’t have 6/7/8 seats, it’s not a proper minivan. This is cool, but it appears to be really just putting sliding doors on a track car, not making a Pacifica awesome.

I think the video submitter is correct that many drivers would correctly judge, as the car did, that there was plenty of time and clearance for both car and pedestrian. This was NOT a panic brake moment, as the car judged the velocity of the human. Your article alleges “without evidence” as the kids say these days,

They’re probably aware that most folks are not car enthusiasts and don’t read car websites/publications every day.

$14k for a 22-year old car is bonkers. These cars are neither reliable nor rare.

Its 10-14x cheaper to move it by ship.

Boils down to cost. Moving cargo by water is, by a large margin, the cheapest way to move large volumes from Detroit to Milwaukee, even with the extra distance involved.

“Quite as much”

Of course, a semi doesn’t hold quite as much as a cargo ship.”

This ship is named after the CEO of the company that built it.  What a douche.

At the very least, include range for each entrant. Of the handful that are included, it sounds like the less powerful are actually the better choice.

It’s remarkable how far we’ve come in 20 years - the Bolt, the cheapest EV on this list - starts around $26k, has 200hp and does 0-60 in about 6.5 seconds *and* has 250 miles of range. And it’s assembled in the US in a union plant.

Stupid raised hood. I hate these new raised truck hoods. Also that silhouette clearly is showing off rear control arms, so it’s going to be coil sprung.
