I was at Amelia Island Concours a couple of weeks ago and there was a section dedicated to 959s - there were about 7 on display, and my friends and I agreed that they look like test mules.

Hate me all you want, but the 959 is not an attractive car.

they always look backwards to me.

Fine, I’ll say it. Porsche 914. I just don’t get it.

I see your 924 and give you the oft-forgotten ugly half-sister the 968:

The 968. They took the 944 and gave it some awkward 90's makeover.

I never saw the appeal of the Slantnose. I understand the functional aspect, but aesthetically, the proportions of the front end look wrong, and it trades a Porsche design signature for something that looks far more generic.

On the Cummins note:

But claiming that engine family was wasted is a bit of a stretch, given how many of these they punched out and sold worldwide.

That’s not a coupe. That’s a 4 door SUV Sportback and it looks awful, just like the previous one, and the BMW versions, and and and.

I have to agree.

A Prius, of course! That’s the answer for all of this, don’t you know?

What does space-efficiency matter when most of that space is unoccupied most of the time? Also, all of these SUVs lose that battle compared to minivans anyway.

Perfectly said. I had a feeling just by the title alone, it was going to be biased or seem as slander towards bigger vehicles. The youtuber definitely did his homework; however, it feels very subjective, with just enough statistics to make you think it is objective. Definitely elicited an emotional response.

While minivans are more space efficient, they weight the same or more than a 3rd row SUV, and typically have practically the same fuel economy. For this reason, I find it hardly a compelling argument to vilify the SUV. For example, one can compare the Odyssey vs Pilot.

Thank you, because yep.

They already picked a lane, a lane that generate as many clicks as possible.

I have a 2023 Kona EV. It doesn’t work outside the city for us.

I’ll disagree a bit. It shows that there is vast demand for small trucks, not necessarily that full-size truck owners don’t need full size trucks. For what it’s worth I know 3 Maverick owners. None owned a full size or mid size truck prior.

I have two kids, two dogs and routinely need to tow 8,000lbs.  What else am I going to pick here?
