“Oh wait, we’re never going to get this in the States.”

Here in the UK, we don’t really have any public dirt/gravel roads to hurl this thing down. I’ll happily swap you the Audi for those roads!

I thought that straight away too! It’s a shame these didn’t have sliding doors.

Jeeps are also galvanized - my late XJ certainly is.

IIRC the 3.2 5-cyl has just been discontinued, and this 2.0 is the replacement.

This may be because in the UK we basically don’t get them. Trucks being used as cars simply isn’t a thing.”

That really isn’t true. Sure, they’re nowhere near as prevalent as in the US, but go to any supermarket or other car park and you’ll find plenty of pickups being used as daily cars. I see pristinely clean

XJs absolutely aren’t miserable cars. I have had mine for years and there is no other car that I find more comfortable on a long journey.
The seats in my ‘98 Limited are just so soft and comfortable, and it’s completely effortless to cruise for hours without getting tired.

Yeah, the back seat isn’t huge, but that

If he brings it over to the Netherlands, I would happily fly over there and drive it back to the UK to look after with the rest of my Jeep fleet!

I love this!

David, are you aware of the existence of the Cherokee Stealth?
As far as I’m aware, it was a UK only model. It had similar bumpers to this, a rear wing and “sporty” exhaust. I’ve not seen one in years!

AMG and BMW M should do this so everybody stops slapping their badges on leased CLAs and base-model 3-series.

Looks like my upload failed. Here’s the pic:

My Jeep XJ and I have a love/hate relationship with mud.
I overheated for 100+ miles home after this:

.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought that! Something about the noise Porsches make always sounds broken to me.

I have two ‘90s Jeeps with Chrysler interiors sat outside right now, both with 160,000 miles. Both still going strong, with interiors that rattle less than my friend’s year-old Mercedes.

Isn’t this the same designer that has been turning all of the center controls into screens?
Take a look at the Range Rover Velar for example.

I must say that I do actually agree with you - my experience supports what you’ve said for the most part, it’s just that I don’t think that’s how most people see it, and this is what I poorly attempted to comment on.

I love old Peugeots, Citroens and Fiats, but trust me, they have that poor reputation in the rest of the world too.

Here in the UK they all have a pretty terrible reputation, although I don’t think it was the older models that caused it.

Comments like this are absolutely unnecessary.

I came here to say exactly this! My car’s never sit long enough for this to happen, but without these modern stupid wheels with massive gaps I can barely see the discs anyway!
