I think the big thing to establish is that she’s not obligated to reply, which I think we both probably agree on. When someone approaches a dev on Twitter, it’s not the same as approaching them at an official event or forums, and I think it’s fair to at least acknowledge that. It’s a different dynamic and while it’s

A major thing people seem to misunderstand is that Price is not speaking in an official capacity for the company while on Twitter. That’s a space where she is speaking as a private citizen. The idea that developers should on perpetual call to endure the various nitpicks and armchair design of enthusiasts and rabid

It’s easy to point to Price’s original comment as “crossing the boundary” or unprofessional in the context of her job, but of course that’s not really the point for the people who wanted her fired.

To Dumb and Angry (I really hope you get to read this):

Bingo! Part of why Seinfeld worked so well as a show, aside from Larry David’s sharp writing, is that all four of the motley characters are insufferable assholes in their own way that deserve each other. That we get to laugh at their frequent misfortunes only makes it funnier.

D&A, if you find George brings up something as an attempt to shame you that you don’t know something. Like, he starts talking about... I dunno, BC Era weaponry or whatever...

Dumb and Angry doesn’t actually sound dumb at all.

Because she’s compromised by her personal feelings of keeping her friends close regardless. Pretty common tbh.

I mean, not that my model is superior (I’ll torch a bridge whenever, if someone’s being shitty and won’t own up to it - fuggit, I can swim), but...yeah, any gal who had an asshole friend like that, and who decided that he should be *my* problem, would be hitting the bricks in short fucking order.

Holy hell, A. really needs to get that leech off of her. Also, how is she defending him?! Especially if he did the same in the past. She needs to call him out when he starts doing this, and especially in front of everyone.

Yeah I used to ask that question a lot with a lot of my female friends in college. Seems to be a lot of reasons:

- It’s just pity. “Oh but I feel so bad for him!”
- Don’t want confrontation because group dynamics.
- Convenience. These guys are literally available at all times for them.
- History. Lot of these guys are

I’d like to know why “A” enables him. Because that’s very shitty.

Add a fedora and you’ve nailed it.

Re: Dumb and Angry

Yo those plumbers make a damn killing. I mean think about it... 300$/hour + parts +travel cost... They make more than lawyers.

“Is it worth asking A why she puts up with George’s behavior or why she lets him try to run off her boyfriends? Sure. Once.”

Dont let good advice hold you back

Your advice about not getting violent helped me, because by description alone I felt a deep and unyielding need to find and punch that guy.

I’ve a solid engineering degree and a good paying job.

George sounds like he thinks A will fall for him if he just drives everyone off who she tries to get with.
