While I like how the outrage over microtransactions in this game had a big influence on the entire industry, as someone who eventually got the game for $30 and enjoys playing it online with friends I sort of wish we can now move past the microtransactions and start getting some new content.

You should get it used and not buy any microtransactions. That way you aren’t supporting EA and their shitty business practices, but you still get to play a very fun Star Wars experience.

Yeah, Disney’s decision to give EA full-licensing rights showed a pretty major lack of industry knowledge. There are many qualified publishers that could have done much better with the property. I’m hoping the legislation in HI will cause Disney to yank support on principle.
