I find this article very... odd

As I understand it, there’s internal discussion about a bounty system or other means to punish repeated griefers on a server. That said, in a game about piracy, you’re gonna need to get your hands dirty from time to time.

I’ve only read a few comments about the game but some people are complaining about this game being a shallow grief-fest. I joined a galleon that had 2 people on it and was almost immediately thrown into the brig despite using voice and text chat to say hi and ask what the plan was. In return for their dickishness I shot the gun powder crates they had stored below deck.

At least one player in our group can’t hear any in-game chat. Have you considered that you were an asshole to someone who couldn’t hear you?

This is insanely dickish. Why does he or she HAVE to communicate with you? You could have just hung out and cashed in at least, even if you didn’t do any work. They might not have known how to do pre-written messages and might not have had a headset. Friggin’ ridiculous, kid.

Lol. No, what you did, was being an asshole. 15 chests must’ve taken that player a lot of time to collect. Maybe they didn’t hear you and/or notice the chat. Maybe they thought you’d co-operate, since you chose to be a part of a two-man crew instead of sailing off on your own.
