I will say this. Regardless of whether hitting Kevin last night was a pure accident or intentional, I'm greatly surprised to see him continue to race the next day. I for one would definitely not be able to maintain the focus needed for a race knowing that a vehicle I was driving killed someone less than 24 hrs prior.

I don't think he gunned it to hit Kevin at all. When I watched it, it looked/sounded like he blipped the throttle right as he made contact with him. He might be a world class prick, but I don't think he intentionally tried to hit Kevin.

Okay, here's my personal take on this. It's only my opinion, so take it at that. From the video (it's on the deadspin post) it doesn't look like Tony "gunned the throttle" to hit Kevin. The throttle blip came at the exact same time as the contact, which could imply it was more of a reflex reaction trying to avoid

The frontline people aren't given any authority to give out hotels for anything other than crew issues or maintenance unfortunately. The customer service desk can override this, but ticket counter people get written up for doing it. Because United.
