I agree, it sucks. I just hope that they address it some way like 7 years from now, when the game’s servers are inevitably shut down. I feel like they must, but only time will tell.

While I don’t disagree with your proposed solutions, why is it such a deal breaker for you?
Kinja doesn’t like links, but it seems the issue is more to do with the FIA than Sony or PD’s wishes, from what I understand. Not that either side will admit as much:
I really hate that shit. I can understand why, to a certain extent, they do this; too much data to host on a local machine, and to cut down on cheating. But for simple people like myself, it just is an added aspect that isn’t needed.
If I’m not mistaken, this was the original plan for GT Sport, but they caved and added more offline content when it became apparent it had hurt sales. I was one of many who didn’t buy it until they updated it with more robust offline play.
The non rich don’t have the money or incentive to convert their cars, not right now anyway. Only the rich do, thus the conversions will be limited to the rich until something changes socially.
On this episode of ‘Ruminating on Car Design’ we unlock the secrets of how to make cars look like a basic bitch.
I think the proportion of the lights to each other and whether it’s combined headlight/indicator matter, too. In the pictures of the cars with the indicator on top that look good, they’re small isolated indicators. Where it seems weird they are generally nebulous blobs, large matrices of lights, or somehow molded into…
Why wouldn’t you buy performance tires? Why would you buy anything but performance tires for a sporty car is the question?
Full Disclosure: Acura handed me the keys to its very own early NSX for a week while I was in Los Angeles for Radwood SoCal. I drove down with a big van loaded with supplies for the show, and didn’t want to drive that around the traffic-laden city all week. Acura was the title sponsor of the event, the American…
Looking at the area under the torque curve, I wonder if the 10th gen is about the same as the 11th gen. The 11th gen torque comes on earlier in the revs, likely giving it the feeling of being quicker but then drops below the 10th gen curve.
but the correction factors,
as much as I agree with you, please tell that to both Skyline GT-R R34 and Supra RZ A80 Gran Turismo Fast Furious Paul Walker Brian O’Connor 1000hp-stock fanbois
I get it those cars are getting expensive to satisfy their nostalgia lust but some still believe those are still currently cheap giant-slayer (if 250k - 1 mil…
By modern standards the NSX isn’t setting the world on fire with acceleration, sprinting from 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and tripping the quarter in 13.8, but shit it doesn’t feel slow.
We are all boneheads for not buying a used one when we could get a nice copy for $40K... Or an s2000 when we could get a great one for $20K
I started with a ‘97 delSol in 1999. Divorce and forced sale caused a big gap, then ‘06 S2000 in 2012. Next was a ‘00 NSX in 2017. I auctioned the NSX a few months ago on BringATrailer and replaced it with an LC500 convertible.
Honda needs moar revs. Needs less weight. ALL THE REVS!
A little bit after graduating college I bought a brand new 2009 Si. Seems like the current gen has been improved but the 8000 RPM redline of the 8th gen was so much fun and sad that it has been gone since 9th gen.
The more time that goes by the more I want one. They still look so, so cool in the flesh. Whenever I see one I think “Akira” or “Neuromancer” in the best way possible.
I couldn’t agree more especially about the cruise control reference - if I have it on, it is just an extra set of eyes on the road on top of my full attention. The lane assist in the Kia K5 I had as a rental on a work trip was even worse. I tested it out on a clear day and good quality road with no traffic around and…
