An animated musical could have actually worked lol.

It keeps being said, but LOKI never established this. Loki established that the Infinity Stones don’t work in the TVA. They specifically don’t work in that one place. That’s all that was ever said in the show. Nothing else implies that also don’t work in other dimensions outside of the TVA.
Everyone needs to bake with a partner, and that partner is a rhesus monkey.
I grew up in the same suburb Rachel Brosnahan grew up in, which is predominantly Jewish, so Jewish in fact that all the public schools closed for Jewish holidays, so at least she knew the culture more than your average gentile. I didn’t even know antisemitism was a thing until I moved away.
Jewish people might have started Hollywood, but if you look at a lot of Jewish peoples experience with antisemitism in the industry than they obviously don’t “control” the industry. Hollywood is made up of queer people too, but the industry is absolutely terrible to queer people.
Andy Samberg had a hilarious line at the Emmys a few years back:
I’m sorry you get so upset when someone ponders if something is hurting them or not, that has zero actual effect on your lived experience. We learn a lot about targeted demographics from the media we consume, Norse gods are not targeted real life people and if that’s your take you have some serious unlearning to do…
You’ve made that joke already. We get it. It still sucks. Move on.
That...isnt at all what anyone is saying... Like...not even *a little bit*...
Yeah, Jewishness is weird in that it’s a religion, but there’s ethnicity at play too. You can be Jewish but not look like the standard Jew- for example, I have two friends whose wives converted to Judaism; one Chinese and the other Irish. Both 100% Jewish, but definitely not meeting what you’d expect from the…
And black hair. Maybe she could pass for Asian too.
So to answer the Internet Geniuses who respond with tired shit like “should Catholics only be played by Catholics, THEN?” There’s a difference between the role Catholicism plays in the world and the role Jews and Judaism play. One is the richest most powerful church on earth and has been for centuries. The others were…
Well I’m Jewish and I didn’t care for MMM so I only watched five or six episodes and then gave up, but then I tried again and watched the first two episodes of season three with my wife, but I found that I still didn’t like it very much, so there!
That doesn’t actually disprove her point. It supports it, more than anything. All these celebrities are Jewish (either whole or part) yet they basically had to be in the “Jewish closet” for years.
Rachel Brosnahan (Mrs. Maisel) is not Jewish. It’s noted in the article.
Honestly, you really think a company with that kind of connections to kill tons of people and never get found out (they show they have been holding this game for decades!) doesnt have the means to wipe a cell phone record for anyone.. They have the power and clout to completely cover this up.
I predict: season 2 will not be as solid if it’s not written/directed by one guy.
I think the fact that many people were saying “Just get on the plane!” to Gi-Hun at the end is proof that the show worked to get you to that point. It feels frustrating, but earned. Even the Front Man was telling him to just drop it. The audience was invested in him enough to be frustrated.
Jeez sometimes subplots can be there to just be interesting. I found them both interesting. And not everything has to lead to the overall plot and be cut off by someone dying to show failure. Hardly call them unnecessary.
I feel the same way. Some stories are, or should be, just one-and-done. One season, one book, one movie, etc. Tell what you wanted to tell, and peace out. Not everything *needs* to be a franchise.
