I’ve had it on my list for a while and finally watched it a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. It’s definitely a slow burn, and it’s pretty low-key despite covering some heavy subject matter. But I really enjoyed it.
I really liked it. It’s an interesting dark comedy in that it has the humour comes from this real sad, weary tone throughout. It starts off kind of deadpan funny and gradually grows more unhappy and serious. I described it to someone as the ‘If The Long Goodbye was about millennial burnout rather than the end of the 60…
I watched it after Brody appeared on Comedy Bang Bang. It's quite good, not necessarily instant classic, but funny and charming.
I really liked it. I can see it being a bit too slow for some people, but it’s a more quite movie that is worth it for the last act and the weird humor alone. Check it out if you can!
I especially loved how the first time he hosted he played himself in the Mango commercial, where he sees the gay exotic dancer Mango and immediately falls completely in love with him. And then the second time it turned out Mango was in love with Chris Gaines, and Garth Brooks revealed that he actually was Chris…
‘Who’s More Grizzled’ is an alltime top-10 sketch.
I agree. He’s up there with Peyton Manning in terms of hosts that have surprisingly good comedic timing.
Everyone talks best hosts and worst hosts, I’d like to focus on hosts that surprised us.
She was a member of a highly popular sorority at a southern college and they had an Antebellum theme party. It’s a party themed for the most successful time period of the old pre-civil war south which also ties in to the height of slavery in America.
So he said give her a chance ,and picked her ? but the host who agreed with him and said give her a chance got fired?
if you look up the calculator model, it has a synth built in. there is a speaker on the calculator.
It’s a setting for the calculator. There’s other shit it does besides crunch numbers and make music. Like an alarm or a timer.

calculator has a function that turns it into a musical device, and you can presumably set the key of the tones.
Right? Why do calculators play musical tones at all? Could it be that the calculators are wired (underneath the table) to something that triggers musical notes, and the calculators themselves are nothing more than empty shells?
Hope this gets him that private plane.
That’s exactly how I read it.
When I saw them about a year and a half ago, the bass player was working the merch table. I always imagined this was penance for the whole Jimmy Fallon Big! incident. “Sure, you can be in the band... but you’re on permanent merch duty.”
Time is a flat circle.
Yeah. I’m a middle aged man and I doubt I’d be having chaste thoughts in Ridley’s presence.
