It wasn’t C- bad. I actually made it through this on my couch in a single sitting - and I can’t do that with most tv shows. It has some really fun Groundhog Day delights, some pretty neat gore, and it’s nice to see Senor Chang in anything.

Yeah, I think we need to demand that Fisher #releasetheJohnsconversations, because the one quote that’s making all the news and seems like actual evidence of racism doesn’t seem to be a quote at all. I mean, it’s attributed to several “executives (but particularly Johns)“ which means it’s probably a paraphrase or

That is an excellent title.  It’s one of those things that is so obvious when you see it you wonder “damn.  Why didn’t I think of that.”

It’s the repetition of “wait, how did we fail, it should be easy, killer robots, time travels, chase and shootouts, it just writes itself... okay, nevermind, let’s try again”.

Yeah, but people really like the first (Alien/Predator/Robocop/Terminator/Ghostbusters), so having that built in fanbase is half the battle right there. Doesn’t matter that everything after the first (in some cases, second) movie was lukewarm-to-bad, we’ll get it right this time!

It’s just a weird collection of shows to pick when you could have brought up, say, “The Middle,” “The Goldbergs,” or, heck, “Bob’s Burgers” instead, all of which are much more family-oriented.

The ocean is really big and that diamond is really tiny. Plus the ocean currents would have carried it away by the time they’d scramble a team to look for it.

I think the consensus on the movies seem to be the first movie was great, then it fell apart.

A lot of people tend to feel that way. I think the new version had a better cast but didn’t do them justice, especially in showing, you know, actual friendships between the adult characters. Neither version really managed to get the main heart of the book.

I totally agree. Tim Curry’s Pennywise was far more unnerving; I thought the new Pennywise was just silly and over the top in the wrong ways.

Claudia O’Doherty is ready to assume the role.

I have a vivid memory of being at a wedding reception in like 2013, and an acquaintance I hadn’t seen since highschool was like “I HAVE to show your this crazy music video” and he pulled it up on his iphone.

Her “Titus” was good.

I did not know that song had such a delightful video. Thanks for mentioning it!

Wow, that is what every music video should aspire to.

When did nerds turn into the bully from an 80s movie?

Weaving felt like she was just playing it as a gag rather than a performance, and the gag was kind of superficially “isn’t it funny to see HER act like THIS?!” It was just a goofy face and a Beavis impression. Lundy-Payne on the other hand felt like she was doing a better Ted performance than Keanu was. (no fault to

For people of a certain age, Sunita Mani will always be the girl doing quirky dance moves in the “Turn Down for What” music video.

Zack Snyder did the same thing, only his is called Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

John Doe gets the chance to relive his teenaged years, filled with gluttony, sloth, lust, greed, envy, pride... and wrath.
