Same. And Apocolypse Now was kind of my breaking point too, every time Paul brought up some point in the film’s narrative favor, she’d just come back with some behind the scenes tidbit about how chaotic making the film was. It was like the opposite of the Emperor’s New Clothes, because she knew how messy the film

Yeah, my kneejerk reaction would have been to agree with the original poster, but my theater had a similar reaction to seeing Nolan’s name pop up, I was genuinely surprised to hear what seemed to be earnest excitement for a new Nolan film among the theater, but I’d say the guy definitely seems to have managed to

I think there might be some confusion with terminology here. I think the debate is more whether it is a glimpse into the memory of an unreliable narrator, or is it a clear and functional flashback presented by the movie narrative. Not whether it’s just an out and out fantasy sequence.

Oh interesting. I don’t know what happened to me towards the end of this film, I enjoyed it but I’m embarrassed to see with the comments how much of this I obviously I just plain missed.

Its a pretty common thing among high school sports, I’m guessing most kids who go to a football game have probably seen their team or one of the opposing teams do it at least once a season.

Yeah I definitely missed some key dialogue in there, I figured it was something along the lines of Dalton accosting them in the driveway, but after breaking in it didn’t seem like any of them were interested in finding Dalton despite having just seen and recognized him, wasn’t sure if there was supposed to be some

Though I feel like de-aging tech gets too much credit when referencing Jackson, cause if you watch behind the scenes interviews during filming, make-up and a wig actually probably did about 9/10s of the work there, cause even on set Jackson looked remarkably younger (its probably why Sam Jackson looked so good, but

Yeah, too overanalyze it, taking fun musical numbers and overlaying a song that doesn’t quite fit as well to show that the musical number is still kind of fun seems like, at best, a lateral move, but not really elevating or changing anything enough to be interesting or fun in its own right (and for most of the numbers

I’m sure it’s been discussed, so apologies for missing it in the comments (as well as the film itself), but what was the reason they decided to invade Rick’s house instead of Polanski’s?

Isn’t Lindeloff an Abrams graduate? (though I am of the opinion most of his stuff is garbage, The Leftovers, which I haven’t seen, gets plenty of raves)

Tina Fey slowly working her way through the cast of Mad Men. Slattery looked pretty good in that short tennis clip though, I wonder if he gives lessons?

Now playing

AHHHHH! I feel like I’ve been the lone defender of the Yahoo! season! For me Community was feeling kind of shaky in season 3, then of course there was the Harmon-less season 4 (though I still think the body swap episode is a top 10 Community episode), and season 5 felt a little uneven even with Harmon back at the

Just to play devil’s advocate, Benioff and Weiss didn’t really have much to their credits before taking on Game of Thrones. Same with the Duffer Brothers and Stranger Things, and to go farther back in time, Joss Whedon didn’t really have much experience before taking on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

It turns out that casting good looking actors makes the character they’re playing good looking too!

But when do we hear what Sticky Fingaz’s thoughts are?

Why cast Beyoncé if you’re not going to give her a musical number? I can’t even remember if she sang at all in this flick? I was really hoping her casting meant they were going to bring in the incredible Shadowland number from the broadway, but no such luck (the score referenced it quite a bit though towards the end,

I’m so confused how this even happens, this clip was released and the entire internet seems to have had the same reaction, how is it the 100s of people working on this film never spoke up or cared about how unexpressive and bored the animals look. How did they really think 2 hours of that would be sustainable?

He’s always been a great sport with interviews, check out his google auto-complete interview with Ryan Reynolds for a good time.

I used the word “likely” because I was speaking to a hypothetical situation, sorry if that was confusing to you.
