Watched THX 1138 last night. It’s pretty amazing visuals for the era/budget, but man is it a slog even at 86 minutes.

I’d love this at 10-12 inches with a wacom pen.

I’m not going to lie. I sprinkle a few kosher salt rocks on my tongue every so often. Also great: the salty peanuty “shake” at the bottom of a jar of peanuts.

I definitely add MSG-laden ingredients. I also will add a nice pinch of kosher salt before dressing my salad. It definitely heightens the salad, and I have low blood pressure so if I’m on a big salad kick and don’t get extra sodium I can feel a bit woozy (especially during the summer when I’m biking/sweating a lot and

Looks great. Getting rid of the stark white!

They should have shown some real courage and made it the same size as that crazy palm phone.

Yeah. I over shared my sentiments about this awful creation on the Gizmodo post, and top among them is the manipulative score. Hated it so much.

Sure, the score and color grading is a subjective thing for the viewer. I responded to them like a smile on someone’s face while they’re telling me to eat shit. I also watched it on my home theater which definitely heightens good and bad creative A/V decisions. The big HDR screen draws out flawed visuals and the 5.1.4

I watched Bliss last night, and it was the worst movie I’ve watched in the past 2 years. Seriously, this is one of those movies that will likely look back to with disgust years from now (i.e., The Snowman and Pay It Forward level bad).

I wouldn’t. I watched it last night and multiple times let out an audible “oh, fuck off” at the movie. It’s not even “good-bad,” it’s just insufferably bad.

I watched it last night and it’s probably the worst movie I’ve watched since the Snowman. Irredeemably bad.

I’m also hopeful (and it seems like the evidence is starting to support it) that these mRNA vaccines are maintaining at least some significant effectiveness against mutations. Again, I’m just riding the hopium right now. I was [rightly] super doom and gloom last April when people would suggest a short timeline (weeks

Just thought of Criterion Channel too. They offer 2 weeks and have some hard-to-find-elsewhere movies with some remastered content that isn’t available elsewhere. If you have the chance, check out the difference between the Amazon version of Detour (1945) on Criterion vs. Amazon Prime.

I mostly agree with you. My hope lies in that “not tested” for reduced transmission is not the same as “doesn’t reduce” transmission. You’d expect (and the AZ vaccine has shown) that if you’re reducing the viral load that causes illness you’re also reducing it for transmission. Even if they’re only 50-60% effective at

Showtime has a 30 day trial. I just signed up to watch some movies that have been in my watchlist forever.

Crap! Swatting was going to be the name of my all The Fly streaming service.

    Gonna Dox and Chill tonight.

Cool. But enough with the “+.” They should have named it Dox. It’s a hip cutting edge name that, as far as I know, has not negative connotations.

Looks like the nail is about a half inch. Anything longer is a waste on drywall. They’re smooth so they do as little damage to drywall as possible and because “grip” doesn’t matter because the downward force will keep it in place. I’ve used many of these and they’ve always worked great, but yeah, you don’t want to

I mean that’s pretty much Garmin’s Instinct and Fenix lines.
