Danette tried to save Bowie, and now we’re all lost:

Awww, man, now I kind of wish it were Moffat and RTD in that trench together! Then perhaps all we NuWho fans could get along (just this once) for Christmas!

Yeah, I dug through the edit history on his wiki page for far longer than I’d like to discuss and I didn’t come up with anything. I could swear I recall hearing about it! Is this my own personal Mandela Effect?

Last year, I said that very brief moments of this show are among the sweetest things I’ve seen on television. I am ready to extend that description to a good portion of this episode. After last week, it’s a relief to feel the moved to unanguished tears. Until Our Child President showed up, I could not fully rule out

I could swear I heard the same thing about him years ago. In my (admittedly foggy) recollection, it seems like I saw some sort of 60 Minutes-style interview/career-overview puff piece about him back the early 00s. At one point, there was discussion of allegations against him, but they were presented (seemingly without

I could swear he’s been accused of stuff like this before, quite a long time ago. I recall the accusations being framed as an attempt to harm him/his career. Am I thinking of some other insufferable media personality?

IF YOU CARE ABOUT ACCURATE LANGUAGE,

I could have sworn his connections to Dark Army/Whiterose had already been revealed, but it could just be that I had assumed as much based on his extreme shadiness last year. My recollection of last season is still rather fuzzy.

The Trump moment felt a bit like Mr. Robot making an unwelcome turn into Newsroom territory.

In defense of alllllll those knit hats, it’s not entirely fair to include them in this list. They were an imperfect symbol that we made with our own hands for ourselves and to give to others. They weren’t a commodification of feminism to make a quick buck.

I think Rami is incredible and would happily watch him play every role in this show and every show, but I don’t think you’re giving Slater or what the show is trying to do with the split roles enough credit. Slater brings a certain charm to the intensity of Mr. Robot. His presence lulls us into a certain sense of

Rami as Mr. Robot was pretty chilling. I just wanted Darlene to run as fast as possible.

FLIPPPPPPPPPPPER!

I need to rewatch to confirm certainly, but my impression was that the clips of our current nonfiction nightmare were presented as possible (in-show) future consequences of 5/9, not that such things had necessarily already come to pass in the show.

Thanks for the thoughtful recap/review/whatevs, Alex!

Two with Claire. The first died before/during birth.

Can you guys scalp this and use the money to buy The AV Club back from Univision?

It was revealed in the finale of last season, though I can’t recall if the reveal was maybe too subtle to pick up on without book-knowledge? I’ve not read the books, but my sister has, so anything I might normally miss she is quick to tell me about.

I’m so pleased to see that these reviews returned after all!
