Nearly finished with Violet, and it feels very much like a first draft. Aesthetics-wise it’s uneven. There are a few—few!—genuine BOTW moments, like when the sun is setting and you can see the light glimmering on the water and you think “wow, this game is almost...pretty!” For the most part however, you’re staring at

Honestly I kinda agree? I loved Black Panther, and I absolutely understand and appreciate what it means to a lot of people since it was a huge cultural thing, and very, very important. But the actual movie itself, when you take away all of the significance and its impact, probably isn’t a top three MCU movie for me. I

not making an argument just reflecting on my own feelings.

i appreciate people fighting the good fight and all, but i simply do not have the energy to shame/care about anti-vaxxing anymore. frankly, it feels like they won. i got my 4 shots, but even with international travel it doesn’t seem like there’s much more than the honor system at this point.

Even if Shuri gets the torch, SHE believes in science, even if her actor doesn’t.

I want to tip my hat to Hughes for his continued work on these reviews. I don’t always agree with him or his particular Archer bugbears, but he’s clearly passionate about the show and enjoys writing about it, and that’s not a small thing on The AV Club in the Year of Our Lord 2022.

I *tried* to like the Dreamland episodes, I really did, but when it came to Archer I hated the idea of lowering my expectations for such a brilliant show especially when Adam Reed was still running things, and the Dreamland episodes seemed like he got bored and wanted to amuse himself more than the viewers, and maybe

That always annoyed me about the show. Their law office was basically just a place where they hung out. I expected more courtroom drama. When the law failed then vigilante justice.

The dumbfuck Zoomers who run this shithole now have no idea what a Dawes even is. Hell, I doubt they know what a rotary telephone is.

Sweet Laurel Canyon sound?

Pop pop!

I would hope Chevy Chase would at least show up again as ghost Pierce, if only to somehow set the plot in motion.

I didn’t get a Community notification for this.

This show is about a lawyer. What 12-year-old would watch it?

...then you’ve probably remember to enjoy life.

Yeah, that’s my thought. My bet is Derek is gonna bit him and then immediately burn up or something.

I’m gonna throw out a WAG now and say that Guillermo discovers, much to his dismay, that his vampire hunter lineage “protects” him from becoming a vampire. Like Buffy Summers or any of the Slayers from that show, Guillermo simply can’t be changed into the undead. Nandor will then bait him into continuing to stick

watching Nadja struggle to pronounce “insurance” when asked if she had it was the high point for me; will have to try this next time I’m in an accident or at the ER LOL

Definitely. Back when I was still commuting, I used to have a 30 minute drive to work and was usually a few minutes early every day. Then I moved into a new place that was only 8 minutes door-to-door, and promptly started arriving 5+ minutes late because I “had time” before I needed to leave in the morning.
