Probably the most I’ve laughed at a live show in my life, had to go see her again. Excited to watch the filmed version!

I watched a clip of Ricky Gervais and Carrell’s weird “bit” from the 2011 Golden Globes, I think that’s pretty much it for me.
The “embarrassment” part of the Golden Globes implies that Hollywood studio executives and shareholders possess the capacity to be embarrassed.
You can simply just ignore the show. I haven’t watched a single Golden Globes ever.
I’m surprised they haven’t been trying to make it as prestigious as an Oscar, Tony, Emmy or Grammy by forcing their way into the EGOT conversation and promoting the concept of an EGGGOT. They wouldn’t even have to change its pronunciation.
Forgetting Bill Maher is always a blessing. I do it all the time, only to be ripped bloody back to reality when he’s trending for saying something racist or bigoted
The thing about fuckers like Gervais, Chapelle, John Cleese, Rob Schneider, Tim Allen, and others that are always spouting this bullshit about “cancel culture” and “wokeness”, is that their whole schtick is “We should be allowed to joke and mock anything, everything, all the things, without limits”. And then they the…
People were so laudatory of his Golden Globes monologue a few years back, treating his digs at streaming services (which he works with) like some huge truth-to-power moment; as though he hadn’t been invited and the monologue certainly vetted by the network beforehand.
Trebek had that barely buried contempt for the stupid players that neither Bialik nor Jennings can replicate.
Happy Endings is one of the best comedies ever.
Someone that is a person and deserves to be treated with the same respect you’d want if someone very passive-aggressively says something about you to someone else instead of addresses you directly. And she was on SNL.
I do think the “runtime” problem at Marvel is partially a result of all the movies being overstuffed. And while I’m glad The Marvels is shorter, I’m not convinced that the runtime isn’t only going to make the overstuffed problem worse.
I’m going to see this in a theater (a rarity for me these days) for no other reason than I want to see Iman Vellani.
Another problem with making so many movies with bloated runtimes, is when you come out with one that has a sensible runtime, it begs the question of why so short compared to the others. It’s always better to make shorter films, and then go long in the exceptional case, for something really special.
Uhh... “everywhere” else?
Agreed, and #1 should be We Didn’t Start the Fire by Fall Out Boy and it isn’t even on the list!
At least 2 or 3 songs on this list are actually good covers though.
He (Jack) is an idiot.
Have said it on every Marvel article - the MCU should have retained its formula for Phases. Have three-year phase with a handful of solo movies or smaller team-ups that lead to an event movie that pays off at least a handful of the post-credit hints and setups. I know there was some things out of Marvel’s control with…
I mean, convoluted is an understatement.
