I was unaware they were being paired up before tonight, and it’s been a couple years since I’ve watched B99 regularly. So when I turned on my TV for The Good Place and caught the final few minutes of B99, I just thought, “Whoa, they’re at THIS point now?”, followed by, “Why did I stop watching this show anyway?”

I have quite a few gripes about the game so far (having to save a new set of rules every time you want to adjust one little thing isn’t as efficient as they probably thought it would be), but the method of unlocking characters isn’t one of them. I only have a handful left to unlock, but there is so much content in the

In a Poem Unlimited is in the running for my album of the year (along with Beach House’s 7) and made me disappointed in myself for not listening to U.S. Girls earlier. I still play it in my car regularly. Come to think of it, even though my most anticipated release of the year (Chvrches) ended up being a huge letdown,

Ah yes, their 2017 tour was great too. U2's 360 tour several years ago was such a stunning production that it kinda ruined all other 360 stage productions for me, but Arcade Fire pulled it off well enough. This year’s run of dates was a very bare-bones production in comparison (just a curtain backdrop at the show I

New Order are a seriously hit-or-miss live act, but their good nights are REALLY good, and they honestly seem happier on stage without Hooky. I love that they’ve recently brought “Vanishing Point” back into their sets, which is one of their most underrated gems.

I called this a mediocre music year, but it was an excellent LIVE music year, with a lot of 2017's best artists still touring. I attended The National’s Homecoming festival, which was one of the most well-run festivals I’ve experienced, especially as big name festivals are more homogeneous and corporate than ever.

I’ve always been hesitant to bring up Abe Lincoln to combat the “No one has ever gotten into the Good Place” theories since we were never sure whether Michael was talking out of his ass at the time. Turns out he was, so I’m glad we finally settled that.

“See you in the Bad Place...like the show we do!”

Speaking of Other Rebecca, “Arf arf arf arf arf” was the most I’ve laughed at one of her weekly opening bits yet.

My favorite part of her tweets is that I read them all in her voice. The accent adds so much.

Rachel’s been posting some of the carpool improv outtakes to her Twitter and they’re hilarious, including half a minute of Vincent Rodriguez III talking about pooping in the school bathroom.

“How are you this close to getting dragged to hell and still horny?”

Not sure if this is a hot take or not, but soy sauce is one of the worst sauces to use on rice. Give me tempura sauce or, better yet, eel sauce on rice, and then we’re talking. Even a number of chicken broths work better too.

I can’t believe all these years, we thought he was up in horsey heaven...

Alright, who took a screenshot of Michael’s diagram of Eleanor’s personality traits? I burst out laughing before I could read more than two of them.

I feel like the series already acknowledged and kind of brushed aside that theory with the “Convince Michael HE’S in the Bad Place” sheet on the idea wall of escape plans. Not entirely the same thing, but still.

Nathaniel started out as such a villainous asshole that the fact that he’s even become “asshole we care about” is great progress. And because he was such a monster when we first met him, I’m glad he’s not suddenly a saint in just two seasons. A lot of his kinder mannerisms have been due to feelings for Rebecca, so I

I agree. I’m no CRJ superfan or anything (I didn’t listen to Emotion in full until maybe a year ago), but “Cut to the Feeling” was probably my favorite song of 2017, and this song feels pretty repetitive.

I think it was last week that I complained how they’ve been spinning their wheels with Josh’s maturity for the last year, or at least ever since Rebecca stopped trying to get revenge. This week felt like progress for him and was probably the most enjoyable Josh plot since. Like, he’s still both dumb and
