I haven’t been to a steak house since I took my buddy to Keens 10 years ago... so you’re right, I don’t go often. I promised myself I’d go after I got a new job. Got a new job but still haven’t gone — I got the job in the middle all this covid madness :(

It is remarkable in that if this is true then it was a years-long con. Which sounds crazy. But given her behavior since she was elected, it feels like the most likely explanation: She sees the writing on the wall; she’s a one termer; she wants to make bank while she can.

Before moving to the West Coast, I made one last drive from DC to NJ to say goodbye to family and friends. I don’t know what possessed me to do this but I listened exclusively to Songs From the Big Chair over and over for the entire 4 and a half hour drive. I regret nothing.

Internet sleuths seem to believe it’s some weirdo name John Eskildsen. Basically a 50 year old who has no job and lives in his dead parents’ house. Supposedly his siblings/other relations are normal folks so whatever makes this dude a racist psycho isn’t genetic.

LoL. I observed similar conversations, though it felt a bit like folks clumsily trying to show off how much they knew about him, vs a Black dude who is saying “I am Black” and some jackass arguing with them saying “well actually...” 

If I make something I’m proud of, I’ll picture/post. But my strict rule is I have to have actually made it. A nice looking meal at a restaurant doesn’t fly*. Likewise I don’t think I could bring myself to Instagram a charcuterie board unless it had something on it I’d actually created like a homemade mostarda or…

I’m always fascinated by the transparency of the “Obama isn’t really black” argument. It’s trying so hard to take something away from the Black community, and from Obama himself for having overcome many of the obstacles that get thrown at a man in America who is obviously Black by any measure.

Is Texas Chain Saw Massacre actually scary? Or just gruesome? Legit asking, I’ve never seen it. I love scary movies i.e. movies with a lot of tension and jump scares and creepy ambience but am not really into gross-out torture porn type stuff.
