Nice article.  That covers quite a bit!

I can’t keep up with Acura. I have a deposit down on the TLX Type S in Red. Wife has a 16 ILX and the Integra would make a good replacement. My winter daily is an 04 TL. My summer daily is an EK hatch.

I Love this.  Guy knows what he’s doing.

Bradley, I’m sold. My 2004 TL has 180k miles now and I still love the look of the car. No rust. No issues other than normal maintenance. This 2021 car is something I could see myself driving in 2038. A mere 17 years away.  I’ll probably up boost etc. as well.  Acura leaves some room to mod.  I drive cars into the dirt

As an owner of an ‘04 TL, ‘16 ILX, ‘99 Civic amongst others, I’m very excited about this. The SH-AWD will be amazing. I’m hoping the aftermarket jumps on board with Tuning options for boost. I’ve been eying the normal TLX’s in the showrooms since last year and there is a very good chance I’m going to pounce on this

Good stuff. Sorry for such a late reply. I have a tendency to look at the brute materials cost $/lb. and machine/operator time first and work up from there. Engineering is amortized by units sold. I work in the racing engine internals business and my joy is taking something premium/custom - then making 9,600 of them

Raphael, I cringe every time I read your stuff. No one is making you buy one of these cars. Others of us WANT these cars and we’d appreciate you not doing your part to speed up the demise of fun and performance. I think you “think” you like cars, but you’ve always failed to understand them or us as enthusiasts.

Can’t blame the Gt3 for what happens in the world.  Let it do it’s thing and aim for perfection.

CTS-V 6 speed’s are terrible?

Great article.

Love it.  All the testing absolutely makes the cars better.  More bullet proof.  More forgiving.  Faster.   All at the same time.   No other way to work out thermal issues other than this.

I’d image that’s for one of the higher end versions.  Z06/Zr1 level.

I can change the jets in my carburetor. I can advance the distributor.  Do people here have a problem with that?  I was sold jets.  I bought a timing light from someone that knew I was going to use it to adjust my timing.

Excellent. I Love Z’s. I’ve had a 240Z, a 260Z, and now a C5z that’s powered by a C6Z’s LS7. Like I said, I love Z’s.

Visit with Tommy at SCT Racing. An excellent racer, fabricator and tuner and not far from the Pudong Airport. Heaces all over the country and can give you a lot of insight into the scene. Let me know if you need his contact info.

Tires, Dampers, Deep Gears in that order

C5Z

I agree. The pieces are pretty cool. They are merely pinned onto the platform though. The car reluctantly admits... “I’m built for crash-test”.

Mack, when has a lower center of gravity-better handling-less weight-better aero...not been a good thing.... along with a lower step-over height for the family dog. Sedans are unpopular only because that’s what their parents drove. Minivans before and Station Wagons before that were subject to the same ridicule.

My baby is getting a new LS7 based engine in the spring!
