Wait... twin-turbo... when did the 340 hp base and 380hp s trims become twin turbo...i thought they were supercharged. switching to turbo would be the real news. perhaps i missed the bus on this one.

That exterior design looks too busy to my eyes, like they were trying too hard and overshot it.

First of all the design is sort of all over the place. Its like a Mazda had sex with a Maserati and the outcome wasn’t great. Second, Kia needs to redesign their logo. While the current design worked great for shitty econo-cars it now looks goofy and out of place on cars like this.

Lexus ISF. All the good of the AMG and M except without the long term service cost nightmare and unreliability. A budget of 40K can get you the best year (2012+) with an updated suspension design, best looking wheels for the platform, LED DRL headlamps, and updated interior. How do you know if a car buyer is lost?

A clean car. And I didn’t ask for it either.

My driveway is now adorned with a shiny new Mini Cooper S. I look forward to a long, lasting, occasionally tumultuous relationship with the service writers and technicians at Mini of Austin.

I didn’t get any car stuff, but I did get some lovely candy, a bottle of lovely wine and some lovely cologne. It was a lovely day.

I got the most important car-related thing: Money.

I got a WeatherTech cargo mat for my V70 along with a vintage Volvo Keychain.

It didn’t come with a bow but I’m rolling through Texas in the new Infiniti Q60. I rather like it. Review coming after the holidays!

An XE 35t R-Sport is right around $49,000. Everyone loves the way it drives. Also significantly more practical than anything listed up there. And if you think 340 hp is “underpowered” then you’re incredibly spoiled and need to visit Africa to get some perspective. The only downside is that the interior is horrendous…
