Great video! That drive in that car truly is the dream.

I don’t care what all the nay sayers have to say, I tend to like silver.

I drive a 99 civic that’s in rough shape and has been the only car I’ve owned so far. To be completely honest, if I had the means, I would love to restore it to like-new condition so I can kind of see why someone like me, but in a better financial position, would buy that car.

“That’s a Buick?”

I know it’s been beaten to death before, but c’mon Cadillac...

Great picture, looks like a lovely place for a drive.

That was a great read, thank you David. I have to ask though, why leave a dream job like that? Just wondering as I myself hope to work for an automaker someday, but in a financial role.

an eight-speed ZF automatic is the sole gearbox

Hope it’s not too long before a comparison test between this and the gt2rs.

It’s one thing to not offer a manual transmission (which is unfortunately understandable from a business perspective), but at least give us a properly tuned auto/dual clutch. Nothing says uninspiring like a slow, boring automatic. I too want to like this car; it’s quiet, naturally aspirated and probably fairly

Which is the better car for a cross-country tour, the DB11 or LC500?

You’re probably right, but it’ll be interesting to see what the actual sales figures show. There are plenty of people that buy M-sport packs with no intention of tracking their cars.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s like a nice dress watch compared to an Apple watch.

Gorgeous. The only thing I’d change is the digital gauge cluster, but I’m probably in the minority. Something about real needles and the depth just seems more classy to me.

I don’t care what anyone says, I’m excited for the Nurburgring lap time.

I’m guessing the former. Sounds like the M8 is going to be introduced around the same time as the standard 8 series so that it can compete at LeMans.

I’d like to see how this compares to a C63 Black Series if Mercedes ends up building one.

I actually don’t mind the grille. It could be a little smaller but big grilles seem to be the trend these days. Plus I think the depth of it is sort of interesting.

To add to that, sure Porsche offers packages like every other automaker, but you can also order pretty much any option individually, something many automakers don’t allow. This level of customization comes at a premium though.
