The weird part is, why is there a base model 2M4 trim cargo decklid on a GT?

I guess I wasn’t transparent enough? These things suck. I have to drive by a bunch of things that suck all in one lot.

A junkyard dedicated to one kind of car is a bad thing?

Agreed; 95% of the parts you’d ever need for this thing are likely sitting on the shelf of an Autozone within a 5 mile radius of your house. And there are doubtless thousandshow-to repair a GM issue” videos on YouTube to break it all down.

Yep, 174k miles on an ‘86 is nothing, around 4,500 miles a year. My car that is 20 years newer has 120k more miles. Now, there may be some stuff that needs a look since it is almost 40 years old, but miles are pretty much a whatever on this.

Question for those a little older than me: Were these cars cool when they came out?

If you’re mechanically-minded, these cars take on a whole new personality when fitted with some of the things you’d find over at V8Archie.
Swap the headlights for static ones. Swap the engine for an LS.
Maybe consider the more intensive roof chop.

Back in the day, I used to LOVE building Monograms 1/24 Fiero model.  I must have built them at least twice.  I miss my old models.  Most soon to be Married Women would prefer to look at clothes and such, Me?  Buying and Building Plastic model cars.    In regards to this car, NP all the way

I mentioned elsewhere, and although I respect irrational love for cars, I always felt like these were loved for what they could have been if they had not been intentionally gimped by GM, not for what they actually were.  Sadly, that’s the modern Pontiac story until GM killed them for good because China loves its

At BEST, it was another Pontiac intentionally gimped to avoid stepping on the toes of big brother Chevy’s halo cars.  I can respect people’s irrational love for these, but I always felt like it was a love born out of what these cars could have been if they weren’t nerfed, parts bin specials.

Super easy Nice Price. It meets all the requirements for a fun to drive second car at only 2/3 the cost that one would pay for a car like this in just as good or better condition.

I think it’s depends on how old you are and how much you were into cars.

This thing is shockingly nice, easily the nicest once I’ve seen in years that wasn’t on BaT. Miles become irrelevant on a car this old and condition is way more important, and this one looks to be in pretty great shape. NP.

It would be nice if there was some detail around the engine replacement (who knows, maybe you could track down the shop that did it), but at this price it doesn’t matter- NP.

I’ve always considered the Fiero a bit of a polished turd.  The underpinnings consisting of a front end from a Chevette and the rear drivetrain/suspension taken from the front of a Citation are not the ingredients for inspiration.  ND.

Oh HECK YEAH!!!

If you like Fiero’s this is the one you want. It would be a fun knockaround project for someone. NP

Easy Nice Price to me!

My family owned an ATC250R...with a big bore 350 kit and Boyesen performance reed valve on it. For those that don’t know, the ATC250R was a 2-stroke. Essentially the engine and suspension from the CR250R motocross bike. It had a light switch power band. It was a death machine...but damn in the sand dunes of Glamis, I
