One can dream...

I second that, I believe they are turning the tide on their chassis woe and rebuilding the team.

You’ve never seen how much tooling costs, have you?

I’m not here to sing the praises of Haas, but they certainly are production oriented if you pick the right machine. And if you can’t get a Haas in halfway decent shape to hold better than a 5 thou tolerance, you are a garbage machinist.

Yeah the main thing Haas is doing is surviving. They’ll see what the budget cap changes offer them as they approach and we get a better idea of how other teams are going to cope, mainly the big ones. Remember that Ferrari is still getting data from them in part exchange for parts, just not wind tunnel access or

I know your point was the pun, but that's the truth. Gene likes to race. You would think that jalopnik would similarly employ someone who likes racing to write motorsports articles, but they found someone who evidently hates cars and motorsport to do the job.

Vettel’s win for Toro Rosso in the 2008 Italian Grand Prix is the only time a car using a Ferrari customer engine has won a race.

What are you, crazy?

I mean...

I’d settle for Ferrari letting Ferrari win something.

Actually taki inoue is quite hilarious on twitter. I highly recommend a follow.

They sell a ton of spindles, they are pretty much the nicest “cheaper” machines out there and they aren’t “high precision" or production oriented. But they find their place in many job shops out there that are looking to hold 5 thou and aren't in the need to run 100,000 parts a year

Well, do you really think that Ferrari will ever let Haas win a race, let alone the championship?  The same for Alfa.  I often wonder what’s going on behind the curtain.  Whatever it is, Haas is kept going because of the relationship with Ferrari, don’t you think?

Williams isn’t as bad as Haas and in 2014/2015 finished third in the constructors championship, and 5th in 2016/2017 and things really went to shit in 2018/2019. Their car has been much better this year (probably some of that is due to how bad the Ferrari engine is the Ferrari powered cars are always at the back of

What’s the point? The point is racing!

I find it unbelievable Haas’ machine tool business makes the kind of dough needed to fund what appears to be a lot. Maybe there’s a Whittington-type story we don’t know yet.

Same question for Williams, regardless of history. Most definitely Haas needs new drivers, but it’s probably a situation where no other driver in the paddock WANTS to go to Haas..

Haas makes money in F1 besides the profit share and all the publicity they get, at least enough that he is fine footing the bill. They haven’t really had a major sponsor or really needed one, Haas Automation makes a lot of money. Plus they can also sell out to a major manufacturer in the future.

Haas has nothing to do with Marussia or Manor F1, they formed their team from scratch, (in)famously using a loophole in the rules to trade Ferrari a big stack of non-listed parts for some sweet unlimited wind tunnel data.

So, are these the original fleshlight?
