I think I have a list...

Bubba’s a metalhead?

Silent Planet is fantastic live!  Now I just want to chat with him about his metal tastes.

He probably got there because he could drive. He took an opportunity, excelled and probably ate a massive shit sandwich along the way.

I have mixed feelings about Bubba Wallace. Before he became the face of the diversity challenges in NASCAR, he said and did a variety of dopey things. Rage-quitting the sim-racing series, saying that there was a “they” out there that was hoping that NASCAR’s re-start would fail, and the like. Take the opening

The Wrangler sold about 228k units in 2019, that’s pretty darn surprising to me actually, but still a drop in the overall bucket of bland SUVs out there. I wonder if the Bronco, whose styling doesn’t give off the more obvious off-road vibe as the Wrangler, will be able to get a huge chunk of off road sales as well as

Noted.

Toyota failed with the FJ Cruiser because, while it looked properly cool, it was just a styling exercise. New duds for a 4Runner. If they were to bring back a proper FJ with the same level of function and off-road prowess as the original, they could get in on the game as well.

I’m not versed enough to quote numbers but I think the way margins work is this.

In all fairness Blazer didn’t even come to market until February, and wasn’t advertised until June.

It is indeed a terrible terrible slideshow.

To be charitable to GM, maybe the Pathfinder was their hope/plan. Take a car platform, “tough” it up some. Call it a historical nameplate associated with off-road and hope for money.

Jeep sold 228,000 Wranglers this year. Chevy has sold 58,000 Blazers this year. Jeep has a plant dedicated to producing Wranglers and the Gladiator. They usually can’t keep up with demand, and have three shifts building Wranglers. I don’t think FCA is worried about GM taking market share away from their Jeep division.

Exactly.  I don’t use the full potential of my Wrangler every day.  But for the 5-10 days a year when I need that potential, it’s nice to have it.

Gave up on that horrid slideshow 2 clicks in. But you do seem to have a point although its still a complex question. Jeep sold 228k wranglers in 2019. They sold 242k grand cherokees the same year and 191k cherokees. Given the high demand they presumably could’ve made/sold more Wranglers - but made a decision not to

Thank you!

Guys, the Constitution, while is commissioned, has no role other than PR. The Victory, as much as I love here, is not even seaworthy. Let it go. Those are museum ships, they have no naval purpose. This old ship does.

It is based in the Black Sea, that happened way up near Norway. Would have taken weeks to get there.

Very interesting naval architecture indeed, smart Russian design as in many other cases. But I wonder why it was not deployed for the "Kursk" catastrophy.
