Had a chance to interview him several years ago at a convention, and he was as engaging and fun to talk to as you could possibly hope. What’s not to love? De Palma is having a blast with the camera, the performances are a ton of fun (Gerrit Graham is so great as Beef), and most of all, Paul Williams songs are top notch. One of my all time favorite soundtracks and movies. It’s just fun.

Gremlins 2 is Joe Dante’s id set wild. Like rubbery Looney Tunes. What a blast. I love the first film, primarily for nostalgia’s sake, but Gremlins 2 is the one I watch regularly.

This is always worth pointing out. In my life I’ve had several people dismiss Sandman as being too highbrow or arty or whatever. And it’s true that Sandman can be very literary at times. But it’s also a great big love letter to DC comics history.

I pray that they never convert it to Guardians or whatever, because the ToT theming may be my favorite in all of the Orlando parks, outside of Haunted Mansion. I love everything about it. The ride is fun, but walking through the pre-show is my favorite part by far.
