The David stuff was the only good thing about Covenant. You could tell that those were the parts that Ridley was actually interested in, because they’re the only element of the film that offer anything original to the saga. I’ll take more of the gothic outer space haunted house/Sci-fi Hammer Horror vibe of the middle

Heynong man. And...we reset.

Hard to pick a favorite Lee/Kirby or Lee/Ditko favorite, but I’d say that Silver Surfer and Journey into Mystery (Thor) were his peaks as a writer. They’re still incredibly entertaining (JIM) and thought provoking (SS) today.

Awesome JR Jr cover.

Miles.

Aw geez. Now I have to root for the deaths of TWO child characters. It feels wrong, and yet, it is the only correct thing to do.

Show I’ve never heard of wins award no one cares about.

I know. Just when we thought we were finally done with the annoying Grimes clan, another annoying Grimes (perhaps the most annoying Grimes of all) rises from the ashes.

Seems to literally be putting the “fake it til you make it” axiom to the test. Good for him.

Reviews don’t matter, I already know this movie is right in my trashy sweet spot. Can’t wait!

I enjoyed Prometheus, warts and all.

My usual reaction when I am genuinely caught off guard by a scare in a movie is to laugh. I have been enjoying HoHH a great deal, I love the family drama, and I love the pervading atmosphere of doom. But until this scare, I hadn’t had a laughing moment. My wife had even asked me about how I was liking the show,

The dedication to classical optical effects really gives the film a timeless look.

Ok, I tried to just leave it at the flip, brief reply, but I can’t. I have opinions about these movies, and since this is the internet, I will type them out, for some reason.

Nah.

Yes, that was the dealbreaker, specifically the need to go to such lengths and risk lives just for a WAGON. She was onboard with the seed vault idea, makes sense. And while you’re there, sure, grab a plow or a canoe if it’s convenient. But going to such lengths to get an ancient wagon, it was just too goofy for her,

“It’s an inferior H20".

My wife finally gave up on the show after the premiere last week. I think the wagon in the museum was the final straw for her(what, they couldn’t just, like, BUILD a wagon?) So I had to watch the show alone last night for the first time in many years, and while I am grimly dedicated to seeing it through to the end,

This deserves more upvotes.

Yup.
