Absolutely. I’m the same way. And if it’s not a make-ahead meal, I at least measure and cut and get everything prepared as much as possible in advance of when my guests arrive.

I’ve done this with both regular potatoes and sweet potatoes, and the results were fantastic. I personally like everything to be spicy, so I added cayenne. And coconut oil instead of olive oil, so that I could pretend I was being healthy.
Ugh, Mexico City is such an amazing place! I’ve been all over Latin America, and and had some pretty crappy stuff happen to me (muggings, stuff stolen from me, etc.), but never Mexico City. Just don’t be stupid. I live in Dallas and there are certain parts of DFW that I would never go, especially not alone, and…
I’m down for Daal as well. I feel like it could end up as a watery mush.
Ok, that could be cute. I’m in.
Cake in a bag sounds weird. I think you should do cake, but only if you can also make it appealing looking as well. I’d eat delicious cake, but my party guests probably wouldn’t eat a brown mush that I try and pass off as cake.
I recently went through this myself. I was in a career path that had gotten stale, in an industry with few advancement opportunities. The work wasn’t interesting or challenging, and I was in my late twenties. I took a GMAT prep class, went back to school to get my MBA and switched fields entirely. It was scary, it…
I just started using Robinhood. Free transactions (buy/sell), no minimum, and the app is super simple to use. I’m using it for a short term investment, but it can be used for a multitude of purposes.
Hmm, I’ll have to give that a try. Thanks for the idea
Great, but what if I don’t eat the chicken skin, and I only use boneless skinless breasts? Is there some magic solution for people like me?
So this may be a dumb question, but what about people who live in an apartment or condo that doesn’t magically have a free place to charge it? I’m totally interested in something like this, but I’m wondering how I would charge the dang thing.
You know, after reading this I performed the exercise; however, I did it more as a budget check. I recently paid off all of my debts (except for student loans, because those will be with me for a long time), and made a new budget. I matched up the spending on my credit card with my budget to see how accurate is was.…
But seriously though, that’s super low. I’m interested to know, too.
I read through this post and had a similar thought to yours. I can call and ask to have my interest rates reduced, but what’s the point if I don’t keep a balance?
On that same note though, if I already have pretty high limits, what’s the point in the hard credit check just so that they can increase the limits again? …
I just wish there were some way to combine my Health App data with my Fitbit data.
My question exactly
Casting my vote for Kumbucha. I love kombucha, but I hate the $4/bottle price tag. I’ve been wanting to try brewing my own at home, but I’d love to learn from your mistakes first!
Same here. But you could even try something different when you’re making the tamales, like using banana leaves instead of the typical corn husk.
It’s about 50/50. I prefer to shower in the mornings, but when I go to the gym after work I have to shower. So I shower in the morning, unless I go to the gym, then I shower at night. I plan it all around the gym schedule.
Bring home some bacon! Mmmmmm, bacon
