I received a jury summons for a court date that was to be while I was out of the country, so I called the court and asked to reschedule. It has ben 6 months and I haven’t been called yet. However, my partner (who also lives at my address) just received a jury summons last week.

I wish I could be the last person on the plane and still have space for my carry-ons. I refuse to check a bag, so I board early specifically so that I have room for my luggage.  If there were guaranteed space you can bet I would be the very last person to board that metal tube.

Great advice. I just did the opposite of this. Got a 22% salary increase, so I went and bought a fancy car. My take-home pay is still the same, after factoring in my car payment, gas, and insurance. But my 401k contribution went up by a little bit because I kept the same contribution percentage.
