Omg. You know there are people who would argue that NOT casting Jennifer because she's white is racist. I'm sure Fox has an expert who can explain why that's true.

I want her to keep saying all the things. Her strength has given me so much healing, and I am so grateful for her courage and self confidence.

I was really rooting for her to be referencing the folks with the platform to take action instead of just blanketing everyone, including those who are disenfranchised by the institutionalized racism. It went from something productive to “bootstraps!” rather quickly.

Apple shaped gal here who didn't even have a flat stomach when I dangerously starved myself down to twenty pounds below what's healthy. Hugs.

I trust Jonathan with everything.

Quartz! Go with the Quartz!

Me neither. And then I realized I had never seen video of Kim, only photos. And that was a weird experience.

Reese, when you hug someone who doesn't want to be hugged, it isn't cute. It's assault.

This is incredibly heartbreaking. Her poor family having to deal with this. I hope they get answers.

Hugs. The very tangible threat of losing a child is something no parent should ever have to experience.

I wish it were a required class for all undergrads! And for everyone to have that professor. It was incredible.

100%. That makes sense. Like the problem isn't real/valid because they (the white person) hasn't experienced it firsthand. That has to be painful.

It feels like a barrier to progress. If we’re going to crucify folks for recognizing there is a problem when before they didn't know, what is the correct thing to do? Knowing since birth? It is an absolute privilege to never have to consider the ramifications of racism— punishing those who see it for the first time

I didn't know this before— thank you so much for sharing!

We had chickens before we moved, and I loved them. So much. They had their own area, so no poop all over the yard, and they ate all of our leftovers that we didn't want to keep. They were so friendly! One would even crouch down as soon as you went into their area so you could scratch her back. There is certainly a

And there is truth in that many of these skills are something you can acquire— but only if you have the time in addition to the means to do it. And free time is a luxury many forget— and its especially luxurious if the free time you have can be spent doing something instead of simply recovering from tending to

One of the first things my Saint of a diversity professor taught us was about social and cultural capital. On paper, we may look similar with our financial situations, but also consider our other forms of capital— I can’t think of anything that would result in my family being on the streets, because I have family with

I came from a very privileged background, and should anything terrible happen, I have a safety net in my financially secure parents. All I did was go to school. What I’ve done is nothing compared to the people on the other side of the table. The only difference between me and them is I was born to a family that had

I had this thought the other day. My husband sells insurance, and as the only bilingual agent in his office, he gets a lot of immigrants. He had someone on the other day who wanted to get car insurance, but didn’t have a license— so he couldn’t get car insurance. On top of all the documentation you need to get a
