So what’s the expectation then? We just pay to have tow trucks idling on the side of the highway every 10 miles?
This would be good for the kind of light duty adventure stuff I do. Enough ground clearance to get down some medium trails with an interior to keep all the important stuff dry and secure, throw a cap on it for camping gear and some racks for bikes and kayaks and it’s great. Diesel for the fuel mileage.
How does someone replacing their gas truck with an electric one have less impact than someone replacing their sedan with an electric one?
It doesn’t provide higher incentives, it just puts a sliding cap on what gets a credit, and it goes up because bigger vehicles cost more money.
I’m not sure you understand the Left’s housing policy priorities, or maybe I’m misreading you.
Land doesn’t vote
Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaith
This is an appeal to extremes, and it’s in bad faith.
Even if it doesn’t come from the machine it’s still a roll of the dice, you can’t test drive anything first. You pick out a car, buy it, and they deliver it to you. If it isn’t what you want you can return it, but it’s still paperwork.
That’s because they’re in the business of selling lightly used cars that have gone through a minimal check over, your Cadillac isn’t worth their time and they don’t want it.
People really don’t understand that time is money, and not just the time you spend doing something but the opportunity costs associated with it.
The difference between inspection regulations and motor vehicle code is why they can sell it like that.
I mean a Tesla won’t beat this in a drag race, a model S plaid only runs 9s. And if we’re going to use a Tesla then it’s also vulgar excess. Simply having a car is excess, just move to a city and use public transit, or buy a used Prius or Volt. If you aren’t willing to do those things stfu and let people enjoy things…
Yeah, the limited production racecar that uses 50 gallons of fuel a year is the problem, not a million people in their accords sitting in traffic tomorrow
That’s addressed in the article.
Who buys a COPO camaro and cross shops it with a vette because they like corners?
Probably not, but the tesla is either getting thrown off the track for safety equipment after the first pass or not allowed on.
Still around that, but they shortened the top fuel track to 1000 feet
It’s wild. Our usual plan is to run our trucks to 250k and then sell them used, we’re basically frozen until next year unless someone is dead in the water.
