We have done it both ways, just depends on the situation. Using a shuttle (not this one) is nice because (in my situation) it was a 2.5 hour drive (each way) to the take out point. So to run your own shuttle would have been an extra 5 hours of driving before you ever start your trip. AND we were alone, so not even

The difference is, giving money to an appointed chief of police is called “bribery” and is illegal.

I’m guessing Oceano will have to do all that and pay for it, I’m guessing Bezos will be totally unaffected.

A lot of the subsidies to the industry are in the form of tax breaks, rather than direct payments, so... no, especially at the local level.

Probably more that neither pilot realized the other was providing control inputs. If the PF moves the yoke left, PM-who-thinks-he’s-PF feels the left roll and thinks “wait, I didn’t command that, I’ll roll right,” and then PF thinks “wait, I told it to roll left but it’s rolling right, I’ll roll harder left!” and shit

First you need to hire the designers to develop your purpose built silicon or farm that out to a 3rd party like ARM. This is already done to some degree.

What you have to understand about Conservatism is at its core, it is about preserving an in-group protected by the law but not bound by it, and an out-group bound by the law but not protected by it.

Alternate alternate idea: don’t shit on other people’s idea of a good vacation.

I have owned 6 Miata’s (currently own 2) and an S2000.

Surge brakes are super common across many trailer types...

Having a trailer also means needing a place to store it. It’s common for HOAs to not allow storing a trailer. From this perspective, trucks are “easier” to deal with.

The things AVs struggle the most with are recognizing objects and predicting their paths.  Figuring out what the vehicle is doing and controlling it is not something they have a problem with.  The trailer affecting the path of the vehicle is something that can be mitigated with minute attention to detail and rapid

“if one person dies because of tech getting all cocky about it’s ability it would be a tragedy.”

Why is it any business of yours? If you don’t want to see neighbor’s stuff, you should buy 40 acres way out in the country.
