Lots of people are buying cars because they found out they can’t rely on public transport, either because of pandemic shutdowns/reduced scheduling or because of concerns about getting sick.

Why does the dealer have to do that?
I’m not sure if it’s worth it to spend the time pulling all the different recalls for fires and putting them here because it seems like that thing where everyone notices fires in EVs way more, but there’s a ton of them.
If everyone pulling a trailer is so stupid, shouldn’t you be excited they have Super Cruise to help them out?
I think you’re wrong here, newer stuff is significantly more capable from a braking standpoint, and the biggest roadblock on towing performance has always been heat management.
It’s literally a solution to a real problem that exists, unless you think traffic deaths are very low for some reason, with a lot coming from distracted driving and fatigue. Super Cruise would actually need to be much worse to be as bad as a human
Lots of gas cars burst into flames too, especially the Italian ones
They already have automatic sway control, and it works really well.
So what? what’s the limit on how may cars everyone in the neighborhood is allowed to own? If there’s room to park there’s room for the car. At least he’s getting even more of them off the street.
I’d be surprised if a place like Reno had a grass requirement, my expectation is they discourage grass to save water
Why? It’s just the tradeoff of living in the suburbs like this. Unless he’s out there firing up an LS with open headers every morning it really shouldn’t matter to anyone. There’s no setback rule for parking a car in most places.
This smells like the dreck that failspin puts out at this point. Most of these sites have turned to trash since Spanfeller started ruining everything, it was only a matter of time before it came for Jalopnik.
Car sales, june was a drop in units moved over may and july should look the same.
I’m just glad every other manufacturer doesn’t have fires
Incorrect, numbers are already trending down
There’s a ton of stupid takes here:
Sounds like VW putting the 1.8T in the B4 Passat. 3.8 qt oil capacity on a turbo engine meant those things spent more time coked up than Don Jr.
My only concern is how much they hate to be dropped to low charge states. Imagine having to buy a new L-ion every time it sat too long
Probably because you depend on the lead battery and they’re easier to find out in the wild.
The 12 volt battery also controls the high voltage contactors , so it’s probably not going anywhere. You don’t really want the HV system connected at all times for safety purposes, and you’d usually always want the accessories running on low voltage too, otherwise when your interior LED shorts out its 500v DC finding…
