C’mooooooooon

Nope they really are that special. I certainly don’t see value in the whole package but think of all the cars in the world that these tires work on. They are super special and super bespoke. There’s also a crazy process of mounting each tire...a lot can go wrong at 250 MPH (or 267 which the car actually hit!)

What a strange place to do a burnout.

That sounds nice too.

PLEASE! I’ll pay in fake internet money!

I sold VWs for 3 years from 2011-2014 through the launch and initial aftermath of the newest iteration of the Beetle. They will look at the price tag and tell me that they can get a 3 series BMW for the price of this.

VW Tornado Red paint. No clue why but it ALWAYS has clear coat issues. I have to keep mine waxed so that this doesn’t happen but it’s ridiculously prone to chips and damage. It really is a terrible paint job and doesn’t happen on their other colors nearly as bad.

Man I’d be afraid to burn out the clutch or something pulling that tractor. I guess since there is limited traction the wheels would spin instead of burning the clutch but still don’t you think that could damage your drivetrain somehow?

It really does suck. We do need to see these events to keep everyone in line.

It would be one of those where he somehow spins out so wildly and ends up across the course they have to stop everyone and restart everyone’s run.

That would have been pretty high praise at the time, huh?

Nah they are both amazing bands and that’s all that needs to be said.

No it’s a weak attempt I agree. It’s simply not going to drive any different from the regular Beetle which I have driven and is not an engaging driving experience. It’s going to sit on showroom floors until it gets blown out to a subprime buyer when there is $5,000 cash back incentive in late 2016 so they can bury the

A couple inches would be a lot! It’s just half an inch!

Who doesn’t recognize a bug? The rear engine layout, rare in mainstream car world, makes this a commonly recognizable car.

You’re probably right! It was kind of a tongue in cheek comment on my part but it’s true. It’s not always about pushing the limit...it just looked like the other cars were going faster to the point of it looking like a completely different class of cars. As a huge subie fan it was nice to see out there in the dirt

Yeah it was not going all out there. Braking before a jump? Cmon now...

Nope you’re not the only one. Ferrari doesn’t make the most elegant cars in the world anymore and it shows.
