Definitely not an issue of free speech, but I have a bit of sympathy for the content creators. YouTube has done a poor job of maintaining consistency and communicating, and that is very annoying. Hopefully, they will get it right this time (or at least close).

Depends on the demographics. A lot of video game streamers rely on a pretty young audience. They can watch ads with the best of them, but they’re not so good at backing on Patreon. If you’re looking at mostly adults, Patreon can be great.

Zhi is literally the worst commentator possible. Unless you enjoy words that don’t mean what he thinks they mean and terrible extended metaphors including terrible pop culture references.

She’s definitely legit, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see more and more of her in the future. But she’s also a character that really suits Xian’s play style. She’s really good at keeping you off guard and has some really interesting combo options.

It’s bizarre that Capcom nerfed FANG for season 2. It was always fun watching Xian play as him, but it just seems completely impractical at this point. Watching his crazy ass mixups and combos with Ibuki at Final Round was amazing. She just has the ability to deal massive damage that let’s him come back from holes…

I don’t think so. You can make the argument that Capcom isn’t doing a great job of balancing things, but I think they are trying. As far as characters included in the base game, Zangief got a huge buff in season 2. Chun Li and Cammy were nerfed slightly but are still top tier probably. Necalli is still looking good.

The Pinking Shears are an old favorite. Not the most powerful, but it makes a lot of the harder boss fights dead simple. Combine it with the Car Battery, and then you’ve got a stew going, baby. (And Gnawed Leaf if you want to get cheap!)

YouTube drama is just ridiculous. Advertisers have always had (and should have) control over where their ads appear. MCNs have reputations to uphold, so don’t join one if you feel like genocide jokes are the way to go. Same deal with YouTube themselves. You can’t really expect them to include such content in programs…

Liquids are the only thing you can’t take past security that you might want to buy at the airport, so let’s just regulate the price of alcohol in airports. Then I’ll be happy.

They hypothetically enjoy developing for PC I guess. Nothing beats developing for nothing for comfort, though.

There is just no way to ensure high quality streams coming out of China using standard internet. The Great Firewall has gotten oppressively annoying for accessing any non-Chinese service up or down over the last couple years. It’s something I deal with personally and professionally every day.
