I’m addition to libraries, they’re fairly common in archives, town clerk’s offices, museums, and other places where you have delicate (usually paper) items that rodents love. The tradition of library cats in particular goes back to at least the Dark Ages that we know of, and likely earlier. It’s only in the U.S. and…
When saliva attaches to the fur and the cat sheds, especially longer fur, that creates the allergic reaction people have in environments coated with cat fur. By regularly brushing working cats and vacuuming their environments, it dramatically reduces the problem.
Librarian here. The matter of library cats is a controversial one, but a majority in the library world come down on their side. One of the main reasons actually is health and allergies — the reactions to pesticides, rodents, and rodent matter are typically way worse than to a cat.

The lyrics are a downer when you consider her life. I imagine she really does want to fly away from that mess.
Graduated from Penn in May.
She does not sing well; I put her (kinda depressing) single in another comment.
And she’s walked at NYFW and other events. She’s actually not bad. Definitely got Marla’s genes, thank god.
All of the critical reviews and all of us who saw it in the theatre loved the movie because of her (and tiny green balls), but Amazon Prime viewers have been trashing it. :(
Nah, Collins and Steinfeld were both really good in those roles. Bening was just like, “Oh, there’s Annette Bening serving this role again in a movie.”
I really wanted Kate Beckinsale to be nominated for “Love & Friendship.“ I’d replace Bening with her. It wasn’t a perfect film, but she was an absolute delight and finally back in a good role that suited her. Damn you, Bezos, for not funding a real campaign!
“Liev Scrieibler”
I did not watch it (nor do I judge!), but it’s the easiest thing in the world to believe. Just think back to his favorite insults — “low energy,“ “doesn’t have the stamina,“ etc.
Good news! Your bookface was just given to people as a complimentary gift with their Hatchimals. ;)
And why can’t she say anything about the case? Isn’t she trying to raise awareness of this guy’s plight? And why, if she’s trying to raise money, would she limit her fundraising to the resale of a fixed number of Hatchimals as opposed to doing a proper fundraiser? I mean, GoFundMe that shit. Or — and I know this is a…
This story doesn’t capture the full unhinged nature of her posts, but yeah: https://www.theguardian.com/books/2016/dec/08/hatchimals-scheme-ruins-novelist-sara-gruen-and-angers-christmas-shoppers
WaPo reporter figured out why:
Anyone else following the Sara Gruen/Hatchimal debacle?
