This is one of those movies where I had the horrible feeling that they squeezed 75% of the funniest moments into the trailer. Still...I’ll probably catch it once it ends up on Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu.

There are no good options here. There are is only a way to fail that gives the other side more ammo to make you look ineffective (an impeachment that barely squeaks through the House and dies a quick and embarrassing death in the Senate) and a way to fail that leaves some of your base grumbling but still keeps the

Addressing the issue of gun violence in schools by throwing more guns into the mix is like trying to treat your type-2 diabetes with a dozen Krispy Kreme glazed donuts every morning.

Ok, let’s split the difference. It’s a coup, but Maduro is an incompetent strongman who likely won the last election through voter fraud and manipulation of the system, and has driven the country past the brink of collapse.

Uncle Joe is 76. Beating him in an arm wrestling match is probably a pretty low bar to clear.

I’m guessing it probably involves a plain manilla envelope on his doorstep full of pictures of his family members in crosshairs, as they go happily about their daily business.

Exactly. Proving the truth of events surrounding a bunch of drunken high schoolers at a house party 35 years ago is exceptionally hard, especially if it has to stand up in court.

That would be my choice. He’s scary and supernatural enough that the Avengers can’t just knock him out with brute force, he’s sneaky enough that he could take Loki’s place in terms of manipulating people and events behind the scenes to tie different heroes ‘ storylines together, and we’d probably get a rebooted Ghost

As far as a worthy villain for phases 4-6, who can’t just get knocked the fuck out by Captain Marvel...my vote goes to Mephisto.  Introduce him in a rebooted Ghost Rider as the first phase 4 movie, and then have him pulling the strings behind all the rest of the chaos the other movies will entail.

I would suggest a steel cage match to resolve the situation. But with this being the NRA, pistols at dawn seems more fitting.

Endgame was fun and had some feels, but it was a little convoluted. As a capstone to the original Avengers/GotG series, it was fine. As a stand-alone movie...it would have been completely incomprehensible without having seen most/all of the preceding 20-something Marvel movies.

Just because you can boot the system and be playing in under a minute doesn’t mean that you’re going to finish a Monster Hunter or Dragon Quest game all that much faster. Sure, it makes party/co-op games like Mario Kart or Super Smash Brothers more accessible, but there are quite a few DS IPs that have a lot of depth.

Off to a late show of Avengers: Endgame, so I can surf the internet this weekend without having to worry about some jackwagon hitting me with unwanted spoilers!

Uncle Joe was an ok-ish VP, mostly because he kept a low profile, smiled a lot and managed not to be responsible for any major catastrophes for 8 years.

If there’s enough overlap between white supremacist hate speech and your party’s own political content that an advanced AI has a hard time distinguishing between them...you may need to rethink some/most of your life choices.

Counterpoint: I buy my dress shirts in “fitted” cut, nor “regular.” Baggy/boxy shirts problem solved at work. I generally wear athletic/fitted t-shirts and polos in my casual wardrobe...solves the issue when I’m on my own time. And I buy ~90% of my clothes online, so I could care less about “the shopping experience.”

Had the roles been reversed and Bill Weld been the Libertarian presidential nominee in 2016 (with Gary Johnson as VP or just not on the ticket, instead), they would have been much more credible and might have tipped the election by syphoning off more old school Republican Never-Trump votes.

I’m a little less harsh on dirtbags when they’re willing to admit how awful they are and openly embrace it. It doesn’t necessarily make them better people....but at least it makes them more logically consistent people.

I completely get your point about Pence being a better organized and arguably more malevolent force to be reckoned with. But if the chaos and corruption in this administration can be out of full display in Congressional hearings for the next 18 months, it helps the Democrats control the narrative in 2020 and it keeps

John Kelly - flawed as he may have been - was they last person left trying to keep some semblance of order in this administration. And he’s been gone since the end of last year. It’s the inmates completely running the asylum at this point.
