I’m not entirely sure if the real moral of Walter Jones’ story is that it’s possible for an individual to change for the better, or that one stupid mistake can follow you for the rest of your days.

On a spectrum of political skeletons-in-closets, this is a 5, maybe a 6, in my book. It’ll be an issue for her to overcome in the primaries. But if this is the worst dirt out there on her...it shouldn’t weigh her down too much in the general election.

Ebola and the bubonic plague would like a word with you...

Yeah, there’s a certain trade-off between privacy and convenience that you have to make to participate in the modern world. Being aware of that trade-off is important, and there’s certainly no requirement to be happy about it (or even really comfortable with it). But the lengths required to become a truly strict

The key in selling this to mainstream conservatives is to have the CBO produce some hard numbers on what kind of impact this will have on federal budgets, through both direct tax revenue, increased economic opportunity and net savings in law enforcement and incarceration.

So we can get into more pointless state-vs-federal disputes like we have with reproductive rights?

Cancer patients, vets with PTSD, people whose HIV isn’t well-controlled with antivirals, chronic pain sufferers, fans of jam bands, Rastafarians...need I go on?

Not floored by the choice, but he should be ok. I had imagined Murtry as being older and needing a bit more of a runway to get to “completely unhinged”, instead of being immediately identifiable as the villain.

She would have made a good Pa, had Pa not been incorporated into Drummer’s character arc in Season 3 (though, I suppose they could just break her out into being a Free Navy captain without an association to the Behemoth later in the series).

They’ve changed enough in the translation of the books to the show that I wouldn’t be too worried about anything being spoiled - they may give it a different spin in the end, anyway.

The $10k-$15k annual out-of-pocket maximum that most high deductible plans have is a major issue. If you’re already living paycheck to paycheck, that out of pocket max feels like it might as well be $1mm...if you can’t afford it, you can’t afford it.  Add to that the potential loss of income if the primary earner is

No, but depending on the nature of your work...sometimes random time off is more trouble than it’s worth. Maybe not if you work in a call center or a warehouse, but if you’re responsible for a specific amount of work that’s due on an inflexible deadline completely unrelated to (and unconcerned by) your

Dude, that’s pretty much what West Virginia already is.

Boycotting the company would imply that they get any of my business to start with. I realized long ago that most of Starbucks’ coffee tastes like licking an ashtray.

Yeah, it’s disappointing to see in black and white...but hardly worth threatening to take your ball and go home, especially when any other attempt to come up with a better “plan B” will most likely result in another four years of Trump in the White House.

Eww. Michelada is officially the *worst* Mexican beverage (and I would argue it’s also easily in the top 5 worst alcoholic beverages worldwide)...and that crap is just a knockoff of real Michelada.

If he was the least-evil Republican in the room and tossing him out meant replacing him with a more actively malicious underling...I might be willing to entertain that point.

True...there’s a distinct difference between people’s paychecks being delayed because politicians can’t get their shit together and a full-on breakdown/dissolution of governmental authority and control.

I was shocked to find out that Herman Cain was actually the chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank for a couple years back in the late 80s. With his slimy used car salesman demeanor and questionable economic ideas, it’s a wonder they let him anywhere near that job.

PC gamer master race, my butt.
